We had my family up on Christmas morning like we normally do for breakfast and presents, then we took our first outing over to Chris's mom's house that evening for dinner and FUN!!! We were so blessed this Christmas and are very grateful that our family is happy and healthy.
Carter and Paige at Nana Flynts
Carter got a train table for Christmas, and absolutely loves it...we got some trains from some friends in TX, so we got him a table. He literally has played with it every minute that he is awake.
Paige and Carter waited so patiently for us to pass out gifts, it was so cute.

We came home on Christmas Eve, and Carter came home to a whole to LIFE!!! He has been so good with them, and most of the time a big helper too.

More Hospital Pics
Sorry it has taken so long to get these updated on the blog. I know people are excited to see more of them, and we are so excited to share more. It has been going very well. They are starting to eat more and sleep really good, especially at night. We are so very blessed for them to have a brother like Carter, he is totally in love with them. Be on the look out for more pics to come, not sure how often they will appear, but I will make sure you all see our precious family as much as possible.
Leaving hospital...by the way, Bailey hated her carseat the first time. (Kennedy on L and Bailey on R)

One day sooner...
Well, I had my doctors appt today and ultrasound. The girls are still growing. Bailey is measuring 7lbs 3ozs (Carter was 7lbs 5ozs) and Kennedy is measuring 5lbs 13ozs. I am glad that they are continuing to be healthy and growing good. Hopefully that means that they will not have to stay in the hospital any longer than normal. I was hoping to go in today and my doctor would say that she would take them on Friday this week. She did move it up, but only one day. So, if something doesn't happen naturally before, I will be going in on Monday morning, Dec 22nd with my surgery starting at 12:00 PM. I am so excited about their arrival, and at least we will get to come home on Christmas Eve, as opposed to Christmas Day. Please continue to pray for us as we now are getting even closer to the day. Pray that the girls will be able to come home the same time as us, and be as healthy as they are looking from ultrasounds. We will be sure to update everyone, at least over the blog, so keep checking...

Girls Update
Well, I am now about 36 1/2 wks, I am so excited to have made it this far. I feel great, and although sometimes exhausted by the end of day or week, I really can't complain. This pregnancy has been just like Carters. I have enjoyed being able to experience the joy of being pregnant with twins. As of right now we are just waiting for them to start to make their arrival. I had a doctors appt today (Wed), and everything sounded good. I go tomorrow (Thurs) to Joplin to meet with the specialist again for Bailey's kidney. He will let us know then if he feels we need to go ahead and take them so that it does not get any bigger, etc. If he feels comfortable with me waiting for them to come on their own, then we will again just wait. So, I should know more after tomorrow. I will make sure I update the blog if anything changes. Please pray that everything looks good tomorrow for both girls, especially Bailey and that her kidney has not grown even more. Here is a picture for you to enjoy...

Belly Pics
My friend Sarah was able to take some pictures of us a few weeks ago. They are some of my favorite family pics, too bad I had to be 8 1/2 mths pregnant. No really, they are so good, and Carter looks so cute in them. Here are a few of them...I will share more later.

Appointments, Appointments, and more Appointments
Last week was a full week of baby appointments and one appointment for Carter. On Wed., I went in for my normal baby appt., and all was well. The heartbeats were still strong and I am measuring 2-3 wks ahead (which is where I am supposed to be). My doctor also gave me my first round of steriod shots, in the hopes of helping the girls lungs should they decide to come early. It was not that bad, just a little shot in the butt. Then I had to go back on Thurs to get another round of steriods.
Last appt for me was on Friday when we went back to the Specialist in Joplin for him to look at Bailey's kidney again as well as her bladder. The appt went well, the girls looks good and are continuing to grow. Kennedy weighs 4lbs 9ozs and Bailey weighs 5lbs 9ozs, so as you can see we may or may not have some preemies on our hands. Anyway, Bailey's kidney is still big, but not big enough that he was going to send us in today or anything. They also think that she has some sort of membrane (vesticle?) in her bladder that is not allowing her right kidney to drain. Not really sure what a vesticle is, but when she comes out they will do ultrasounds and then surgery to fix it. Again nothing that is life threatening or that has to be done immediately after delivery. So, we are still in the same spot we were before, just waiting on them to get here and to determine when and what has to be done then.
Carter did have one appt last week, his follow up with the ENT since his tubes fell out of his ears. I was really hoping that we would go and there would be no fluid or anything in his ears, especially because he had been having a runny nose. Anyway, it was a blessing, there was no fluid and everything looked great. The doctor doesn't have to see him back unless he starts having issues again. Pray that as we go through the winter season that he will not start getting ear infections again.

Carter and Roughley Girls Playdate

Not sure where he gets it...
Right now Carter is obsessed with getting the girls and his wash clothes out of his bathroom, and arranging them in different areas or on different things in the house. He can spend hours just playing with them. One morning last week, he took them and was placing them in the slipcover of his little chair and then also in the golf caddy. There are other times that he piles a bunch of them over the remote, and then asks you where it is. Of course I have no idea where he could get his obsessive compulsive behavior...

Pink, Brown, and Dots....
Well, we have finally gotten the girls room ready for the most part. A big thanks goes to Dane, Amber, Shawn, and of course my loving husband who last week spent time totally devoted to getting things ready. We were pretty much given no choice, we had to let them help us, as time is getting close and we still didn't have anything put away or up, etc. I love the entire room. We painted each one a different color (2 pinks/2 browns), all of which match our bedding. Then we got wall dots online, and was able to use those instead of having to paint them on ourselves. The name boards were a project of several people. Amber painted the backing, while Chris did the names, dots, and even the bows at the top. He is so crafty... There are still some picture frames that I want to hang, but that will come later. Hope you enjoy.
