Lokomotion Social

We went to Lokomotion with our Sunday School Class for our monthly social. It was kind of a dreary day, but it was still fun to be there. This was the first time that Carter had been there, where he was able to actually do things. Since there was no one there when we got there, Carter and Chris were able to ride the go-carts with our friends Derek and Jaxon. They had so much fun, however, you could barely see their heads in some of the pictures because the wheel covered them up. They had a great time, and it was hilarious to see the dads out there with their sons, especially with them being so much smaller.

I can't see where I am going...
Get me out of here...
Me and my dad are going to beat you and yours...

I am not so sure about this car, it is nothing like mine...
Is this how I play this game?

Bath Time Fun!

Carter is such a wild man in the bathtub these days. I just thought these picture was so cute, especially the one that looks like he is covering himself. He loves taking the soap bottle and "pretend" to wash his hair and his body. It is amazing how they learn so much just from watching you.

UNC - Chapel Hill

I know you all are saying I can't believe that you even have that as a header, I mean they beat us just a day or so before. While we were out one night, we stopped on campus to take some pictures. It is such a pretty campus, and a nice night, so a perfect setting for some pics.

Sisters at heart...we were asked if we were sisters several times this week.
The proud new parents...don't worry Kohen was sleeping peacefully during this picture.

We still got it...

While I was in NC, Kyle and I decided to do some stunting. The last time we stunted together was a year ago when Chris and I went out to visit. And in that time, he has had a major surgery on his achilles tendon. So, it was great to see that some late 20 year olds still have what it takes. However, you realize when you are done, the muscles that you don't use as often...I was a little sore.

More Pics of Kohen Johnson

Well, I made it home from the Johnsons last night. It was so nice to be out there, and to be part of such an amazing event. However, I was so excited to see my little boy and of course my husband. Candy, Kyle and Kohen are doing great. There were a couple of crazy nights and days, but by Wed., he was doing amazing. He is changing so much already, and I know the next time I see him he will be so much bigger. Here are some pics once they got him home, he looks so much different than even when he was in the hospital. He is so adorable, and of course loves his Aunt Misty. :)

Kohen and Aunt Misty...his favorite!

Kohen Edwin Johnson Has Arrived!!!!

Well, we finally have baby Johnson! Candy's water broke at 3:00 AM on Sat morning, and then we went to the hospital at 9:00 AM. She was hilarious, she made us breakfast and was moving around the house as if nothing was any different. Candy was a superstar during the whole day and night! Finally at 10:32 PM she had a sweet baby BOY!!! Yep, Carter now has a new playmate. Kohen Edwin weighed 7lbs 12 ozs and 20 1/2 ins long. He is perfect, and Candy is doing great. I have attached some pictures of Candy and Kyle before they left for the hospital and then some of them after their new arrival.

Easter Egg Hunt

Carter and I went to my office today for an Easter Egg Hunt. I was not sure how he would do, but he loved finding the eggs and putting them in his bucket. He knew exactly what to do with them when he found them. All of his eggs were plastic filled with candy (thank goodess for being plastic), and at the end he was more focused on getting inside the egg than anything else. They did have an Easter Bunny come to the party as well, however, Carter wanted nothing to do with him (it was a lot like Santa Claus). He would wave hi and bye to the Easter Bunny, but if he got too close he would start to grab onto me. By the end of the party, he did end up giving him a high-5, but as you can see in the pictures he still didn't want to go sit on his lap.

Dyeing Eggs!

Last night, we went over to Chris's parents house to see Ashley and to eat dinner. While we were there I thought it would be fun to color some eggs. Carter liked it for a little bit, but I think Ashley and I had more fun with it then the kids.

Momma's Heading Out of Town!

I am leaving on Friday morning to head out to NC to see my best friend Candy, who is expecting a baby anyday now. I can't wait to get out there and see her and of course Kyle. I will be gone for a week, and Carter is staying here with Chris. I have such an amazing husband, as he is in the busiest time of his year, and he is working everything around Carter's schedule next week. They are going to have a lot of fun, but if you think about it, say a little prayer for them.

Wanna Play?

I had an end of the year party for my cheerleaders. It was our last official thing to do as a squad. Now I have a new group of girls and boys. We had tryouts last week, and I have 12 girls and 4 boys. Anyway, back to the party, they brought some games to play, as well as, played with Carter's toys. He was having a good time playing with them.

How about a game of Twister? Did mom say Right Hand Blue?

He was hilarious, the girls would build towers with his legos, and he would go and tear them down. They begane to call him Carter Godzilla. Here he is with Kayleigh, as he is tearing apart their masterpiece. He loves my girls, and I think they like him too.

Up to NO GOOD!

I just thought this picture was so good of Carter, he always gets this look on his face when he is about to get into something.

Carter's New Car

Just like Chris, Carter got a new car this past week. Well, not exactly new, but new to him. My Aunt Lavon gave Carter a car that she had at her house for her grandkids (they are now are too big for it). He loves the car, especially when you push him in it. When he is about to get in, he will open the door and say bye-bye and wave...it is hilarious.

Finally a Nice Day!

After weeks of snow, sleet, and ice, we finally got some great weather last week. So, Carter got to spend a lot of time outside, which he loves. I took some great videos of him playing with some of his toys. I will try to upload some of them, but until then, here are some pictures of him playing with some of his toys. He loves his wagon, and spend 30 mins pushing it around in circles, moving it back and forth from the rocks to the cement, and putting rocks from the driveway in it. It was so funny to watch his determination.

New Ride!!!

Chris got a new truck! I know some of you are thinking...a FORD and another white truck, I was thinking the same thing. But it is really nice, and loaded with everything you can think of. It is a 2006 Ford F150, and has everything from leather seats to a DVD player. Carter is going to be having some great road trips! As you can see in the picture, Carter is very much at home in the truck. For me however, I need to grow a little, because it is really high off the ground. Therefore, I have to jump to get in and out of it. There is little hope for me getting Carter in and out.

Are these my shoes?

Carter is obsessed with shoes, especially our shoes. On a daily basis he gets a pair of mine and a pair of Chris's shoes out of the closet, puts them on, and then walk around the house with them. He was so cute, but got a little frustrated sometimes when he would walk right out of them.

Back in the Grind!

Well, I have decided to go back to work part-time (24 hrs). I am back at Newell Rubbermaid, but this time working with their Hair Care Products, Goody instead of their Hardware businesses. They setup such a good deal, I could not pass it up. I am working a little from the office and some from home. These are all flexible times/days, so I can set them for whatever works best for me. The days that I work Carter will be either at Mothers Day Out, or at our friends house who started an in-home daycare.

I started today (Monday), I know isn't it so quick. But it went really well, and Carter had a very good day at Michelle's house. This is going to allow Carter to play with other kids, which I am sure he will love.

Please pray that the job goes well, and that Carter does well at daycare/MDO.
