A group of us went to Branson this past weekend to hang out over Memorial Day weekend. Our friends have some timeshare properties there that we are able to stay in. So, this is becoming an annual event, as we went there last year as well. However, we have all decided that next year we need to take some hired help to watch the kids so at least we can go out to dinner without having to get a table for 8 adults and 20 kids...
We had a great time, although we did not do much. We left on Saturday morning, and spent that afternoon swimming and going to eat at Lamberts...yum. Then we did some shopping that night and the next morning. But the highlight was playing the wii. Our friends decided it would be good to take that with us so we could have some entertainment. Let me just tell you, it was so much fun. The highlight for me was boxing Chris on Sunday night (our anniversary). I WON!!!!! It was great, but let me tell you I was so sore the next day, and even the day after that. I guess it just goes to show that I am terribly out of shape.
I don't have any pictures from the weekend (I can't believe it), but they did video Chris and I boxing. Won't that be exciting to see in a few years. Overall, we had a great weekend, and time hanging out with our friends.
I can't believe that Chris and I have been married for 6 years now, time sure has flown by. I thank God for him everyday for being the husband and father that he is. Happy Anniversary Dear!

Light at the End of Tunnel!
After the horrible week that our family has had this week, I got a call yesterday about Linda Bush. For those of you who might not remember her, she is the Childrens Director at our church, and back in January was diagnosed with breast cancer. This cancer was all over her body by the time they found it, so it literally would have taken a miracle to cure. Well, God has provided us a miracle. She had some tests done last week, and got the results of being CANCER FREE this week. What an amazing thing that God has done!!! I just wanted to share with each of you what a bless Linda has been through this entire process. She is constantly standing in her faith, and sharing it even when she goes to chemo. She is truly an example to all of us, and our kids are going to be very blessed by having her around for a long time. She has 3 chemo treatments left, so continue to pray for her as she goes through these, but I want to thank all of you for your prayers for her and her family during this rough time.

Hard Week!
This has been a very different week for our family. On Sunday afternoon, I found out that a co-worker at Rubbermaid had passed away. This was a very shocking, and my office was completely devastated by the news. So, needless to say Monday was very tough for all of us at work, but they did a very good job of dealing with this tough time.
Then on Monday morning, I got a call from my mom saying that my Uncle Joe was in the hospital in Siloam in ICU. Uncle Joe is the youngest of 8 kids on my dad's side. This was very hard to hear, but thought that everything was going to be fine. So, as I was on my way to Siloam that afternoon to see him, I received a call letting me know that he had passed away. This was so hard to hear, and I thought I was going to be sick. I was in Gentry at the time, so I turned around and headed to Dane and Amber's house (Chris' sister's house). So, poor Dane had to be there to console me, I apologized over and over again. Anyway, Uncle Joe is the first on of my dad's siblings to die, and is a very tough time for our family as we are all VERY CLOSE. Uncle Joe has 2 kids, a son that is graduating in 2 weeks, and a daughter that is 13.
My whole point in telling you all this, is I am wanting each of you to say a quick prayer for my co-workers family and my family. All I can say, is that I am definitely ready for this week to be over!

Playground Fun!
Last Sunday our Sunday School class had a picnic after church and played on the new playground at the church. It was a great fellowship, and the kids loved the playground. As you can see Carter is not afraid of anything....he was climbing up the ladder pretty much by himself, and then would slide down without any help. It is amazing how big he is. I love how much he loves being outside, and seeing him try new things for the first time.
