Pumpkin Patch with Marlars

This past weekend our friends from Memphis came up to visit. We had so much fun, they got in on Friday night and came to the Gravette vs Shiloh game. Then on Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch. We had a great time, and glad that they were able to come and visit.

Papa Webb would be so proud...

Last night our Sunday School class combined with another class to have a hayride and cookout. We went to our teachers farm that he owns with his family, and let me tell you it was amazing. We had so much fun, and the kids seemed to love being able to play outside, fish, and of course go on a hayride.

There is a pond on the farm, and Carter was able to go fishing for the first time. Chris and Carter caught 3 fish using the same worm, must of been a good one. My dad would be so proud, and I am sure this will make him want to take him one day very soon. Although, Carter did not enjoy the fishing as much as Paige did. She is definitely her daddy's daughter, she was holding the fish, sticking her fingers in its mouth, etc. It was so awesome to see the kids fishing with their dads.

Carter got to sit in the big tractor that pulled the hayride

Pregnancy Update

I wanted to give everyone an update on the girls. I had a doctors appt on Wed this past week, and everything looked good. I did however get stuck a lot during the appt. I had my sugar test, got a flu shot, and had my rogam shot (RHneg shot).

The ultrasound went well, Bailey's kidney is still growing, right now it is at 2.3cm, last month it was at 1.6cm. They will continue to watch it, but again her fluids still looked good, so we still have one good functioning one. Kennedy is doing great, she did not stop moving the entire time the tech was looking around in there. I guess she is going to be my little cheerleader.

I am measuring 31 weeks (I was only 28 at that point), which is normal with twins. I continue to grow everyday, and Chris and I have started measuring my stomach each week to see how much I actually grow. I have gained 2 inches in 2 weeks. We will see how big I get at the end.

Please continue to keep me, the girls, as well as, Chris and Carter in your prayers as we get closer and closer to their arrival. We are so excited about them, and can't wait to see their pretty little faces.

U of A Pics

Chris got some pictures done of the University of Arkansas from one of his clients, so we had our friend Rich make some frames for us. He did such a good job, and the black and white pics looks amazing in them. It makes our living room look so different now, although it is making me want to get slipcovers or something done with our couch. Thought I would share these with you...we have another one of the football stadium, but do not have it up yet. For those of you who don't know the U of A, these are pictures of Old Main, highlighting the towers on each side.

New Bath Toys

Carter got another birthday present on Sunday from one of our friends who was not able to make his party. He got some bath tub markers and colors dots, he was so excited to take a bath last night. Bath time will never be the same.

Baby Shower Fun!

This past Sunday some of my friends and family got together to throw me a shower for the girls. It was so fun to have the people that I care about there to share in this wonderful time with me. So many people worked very hard to make this day great, and I love each of them for everything they did. Thanks Candy, Amber, Shawn, Crissy, Nicole, and Sarah for making this day so special.

Kennedy and Bailey got so many great things, and I can't wait to see them with all of their embroidered things and matching outfits.

Me and Renee

Candy came in from NC...YAH!!! It was great to have her there, and for her to be a big part in getting the shower together.

All the girls and me...Crissy, Nicole, Me, Candy, Amber, Sarah, Shawn and Lydia (Crissy's little girl - she was a big help with the presents)

Making Cookies

Carter is obsessed with with pulling up a stoll while we are in the kitchen. So, the other day I was making cookies, and Carter decided that he wanted to help. He was such a big help, and loved every minute of it.

The Perfect Example

Chris here. I hijacked the blog today to tell you all about our night last night.

We recently moved Carter to his "big boy bed", which all of you know now means he is fully able to roam around the house in the middle of the night if he so chooses. Well, last night, he chose to do just that. The last time this happened, we thought he was scared and so I just slept in the floor of his room to console him. And of course, since most of you reading this blog have kids, you know that nothing works twice in a row with kids. Last night as I am laying in the floor of his room, he wants nothing to do with sleeping. Instead, he is jumping on the bed, climbing in and out of the bed, taking his pants and his diaper off, reading books, so on and so forth.

Needless to say, Misty and I were very frustrated. For me, it provided a glimpse into our future (and the fact that I need to improve my awake-to-floor response time).

It also reminded me of something that a wise person once told me. My friend Jeff asked me when Carter was first born, "Isn't that the perfect example of God's love for us, the way you love Carter. " He said that the way you love your kids (unconditionally) is a perfect example of how God loves us. In other words, think about how much you love your kids and how there is no way they could ever understand that love. And they probably won't understand it until they have kids of their own.

Now, don't you think God knew what he was doing when he gave us perfect little angels, only to learn that they were indeed sinful (the first time they stood up and said NO!). Dealing with Carter last night, I can imagine how God feels watching us mess things up all the time. Yet when I see Carter today, I will squeeze him as hard as I can and not care what happened last night. What a perfect example of how God loves us, the way we (should) love our kids.

Just a thought for the day. Hug your kids and thank God you have them.

Pregnancy Belly

Well, I thought it was time to show you all how I am growing...I swear it grows everyday, and I think Chris feels the same way. Everything is going great, just getting a little harder to breathe, especially at night. But everything is definitely worth it, and we just can't wait to see our little bundles of joy.

Lego Fun!

The past few days Carter has been really interested in his mega legos again (he goes through stages). Chris's mom came over for dinner and to play, so we all decided to build with the legos. Although, Carter had another thing in mind. He is so funny, he thought it was a game to put all of them on top of him. And then this morning, he would build up all of the legos in a tower, and then knock them over. It was so funny to see him do the countdown until he would destroy what he had just built.

Race Weekend - Kansas City

Well, the time of year has come for us to meet my friend Renae at a Nascar race. So, this past weekend we drove up to KC to meet for the Nationwide race on Saturday and the Sprint Cup on Sunday. We had such a good time, and even got to see some drivers that we were not planning on seeing. Our friends Derek and Emily came up to for a weekend away, and joined us on our garage tour. It was a great time, even 6 1/2 mths pregnant. Carter got to stay with his Nana Flynt all weekend, and had such a great time with her and of course getting to play with Paige and Brady.
