Memorial Day Camping...

For Memorial Day this year we had a new family memory...camping all together.  Chris and I have gone, Chris and Carter have gone, but the girls have never gone nor have we gone as a family.  Our friends the Parkers invited us to come out and join them at Horseshoe Bend for the weekend.  So, off we went on Saturday morning.  We had such a good time just relaxing at the camp ground, as well as, playing on the jet skis at the lake.  What a good time with friends...and this is kind of a test run, as we are going on vacation with the Parkers in June to the beach, so this told if we could handle a few days together.   We are still going with them, so I guess that means YES!  :)

Our friends the Linam's had a little pool up at their campers, so while we waited for jet skis to get put in we hung out there and played in the pool before heading down to the lake.
Here is some of our crew...Carter loved the tube, and getting to ride the jet ski...
 Me and my friend Danielle...
 Just love this picture...

My kids truly love the Parker kids...we are so grateful for their friendship...

There were 6 adults and 13 kids...and we all got along and had a great time!
Thanks for the memories Parkers and Nixs...Can't wait to do it again.

12 Years of Wedded Bliss

This crazy guy and I celebrate 12 years of marriage this year!  Man how time flies....

Here we are 12 short years ago...so young and unknowing of what our future holds...

I have loved and cherished these past 12 years, and I am praying for many more wonderful years with this man!  He is such a wonderful provider for our family, and although everything is not perfect, it is just right for us!

I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else.  We have encountered many things in the past 12 years, and we are starting to encounter some more this year as we build a house together.  I love making new memories, and am grateful to God for putting us together.

I am thankful for the friends we have met along the way in the past 12 years, the houses we have lived in, and then jobs we have had.  Chris makes me a better person, and for that I am forever grateful!

A month and a half in...

Within the last month here is where we are on the house...

We have a ROAD...
 Cleared off LAND...
 FOOTERS dug...

 FOUNDATION poured...
And FRAMING complete (well almost after today...)

I have never built a house before, but let me tell you these people that are doing our house are a WELL OILED machine...

We started the house on April 7th, and now are projected move in target is July 15 - Aug 15...Seriously in 8 weeks we could potentially be moving.  WOW!!!!

We have been so pleased so far in the process, and are looking forward to our roof getting put on today or tomorrow.  I mean WOW, I can't stop saying that.  I am loving watching every stage of building a house, and literally we go up there multiple times each week just to see how its going.  We got to design our cabinet layout last week and that was really cool.  I can't wait to see how he draws it up to see it visually!

Like I said our ROOF is next, so I will make sure to update again after a few more things are complete.  One other thing that was done this past month was SEPTIC...but didn't take any pics of that.  :)

Blessed to be doing this adventure...and by the way, the kids are SO excited to experience this as well.

Proud of this girl...

Saturday we got to celebrate my sweet cousin Ashlyn, and we are so proud of her.  She graduated with High Honors (what ever happened to Valedictorian, Saluatorian, etc), which was so exciting. Mainly because she didn't have to wait until the end with the last name Webb to graduate....you all laugh now, but its the little things.  :)

The girls went, and were so excited to see Ashlyn and her boyfriend Jake walk across the stage.  And they also thought it was really cool to hear people with their names...well except Molly, Chris and I...there was no one with our first or middle names.

Sure do love this girl and her parents...

Here we are celebrating with both Jake and Ashlyn that night for dinner and of course cake...

And what else do you do to pass the time at graduation for two 5 year olds and one 3 three year old...Carter went to a work picnic with Papa Flynt...
Seriously...the faces these 2 make...
The many faces of Molly....

Another week of baseball....

The past few weeks we have been having 2-3 games a week, so we have been spending a lot of time at the ball field.  But we always have the best time, and Carter is getting SO much better each and every game.  He is hitting so good right now, lets hope that continues this week.

We always love it when family comes to watch, and the girls were very excited to have Brennon there last week to play with and hang all over while we were watching the game.  He was such a good sport, he even played catch with them.

Ok, so I lied, I like being at the field, but NOT when it is 40 degrees in May.  I mean seriously, baseball does not need to be played in that weather....ha.  We survived though!
Here we are another night at the ball field...love my silly girls...notice Kennedy's face in the picture above, seriously never serious!  And then there is Molly, we have NO hope of good pics.  I blame Chris!!!!
This is Carter's last week of ball, so we are going to make the MOST of these last few games, and the gorgeous weather outside while we can!

Nothing like a dog pile...

Last weekend we spent a couple of hours out at the land just looking around the house and letting the kids see their rooms finally (well walk in them).  It was so peaceful and nice just being out there, we are going to love it so much, as we already do!!!

We looked over at one point and the kids were taking turns dog piling on each other...they are hilarious...

This is where our propane tank will be going... :)
Can't wait to start many more adventures out at the new place...

Coming Soon...An Update on the NEW House!!!!

Mom's Night Out...

Last weekend was opening weekend for the movie, Mom's Night Out.  So, the ladies in our SS class decided that it would be a great excuse to get out for dinner and a movie together.  So, we met and had dinner at On the Border and then went to see the movie.  We had such a great time of fellowship and LOTS of laughs....you would be amazed at what a table full of 9 to 10 girls can do for you.  :)

These ladies all hold such special places in my hearts, and it was great seeing this movie with them.  Where SO many of us could relate to exactly what went on in the movie.  If you haven't seen it, you should...it is hilarious.  And if you are a guy, you should see it too, there were several families (husbands, kids) in there with their wives and mothers.

What a wonderful kick-off to my Mother's Day Weekend!

A little pie in the face...

A couple of Wednesdays ago it was pie the director in the face night at Awanas...and well since I am the director of our Sparks program (K-2nd), I got to get pied in the face.  It is a contest that we let the students participate in for the month of April.  We have a penny wars to raise money for missions.  If you bring money you get to put your name in a drawing to then be chosen to throw the pie.

Well, it just so happened that the boys won in my group, and Carter's friend Jaxon got his name drawn out to throw the pie at me...

I think at first he was nervous...but he quickly got into it!  I sure am going to miss Awanas next year, when our church choses to do something else with children's ministry.  I have enjoyed the last 5 years of working in it (3 as either co-director or director).  I will miss seeing all these kids smiling faces...

And these are 2 of my 1st grade teachers...they were taking pictures of me while I was getting pied, and decided to take one of themselves...love these ladies and what they give of themselves for their group of kids...

Mother's Day 2014...

I am so blessed that almost 8 years ago God made me a mother to a sweet and loving little boy!  And now almost 8 years later and I have 3 sweet, loving and rotten girls to go along with the boy.  Although sometimes they drive me crazy, and I might complain about how rotten they are, I am still thankful every day for them.  They light up my life, and it makes me the most happy when I can just sit and stare at them and remember how amazing they are on the inside and out.  They each have their own littler personalities, and for that I am grateful.  They make the darkest days bright, and I am very fortunate for that.

I hope they always love me and each other as they do today!  I pray that I can continue to love them and be there for them.  I pray that I am able to care for them, and raise them in the way of the Lord.  I have a wonderful mother who did that for me, and I hope I can do the same.

I am also VERY thankful of course for my mother, and my MIL Shawn.  I am not sure what I would do without either of them.  They love me and my kids so much, and I am forever grateful for that.

I sure love you Carter, Kennedy, Bailey and Molly!!!

Hello Kitty, Pinatas, and Cake...

Last weekend the girls got to go to one of their friends from churches birthday party.  First of all, let me just mention that when one or two of our kids gets to do something the others don't, they tend to rub it in...A LOT!!!  Needless to say, the twins rubbed the fact that they got to go the party several times to poor little Molly!!!  Oh well, there will come a day when Molly gets to repay them.

Now, back to the party...the girls had such a great time making necklaces/bracelets, playing pin the bow on Hello Kitty, and eating cake.  We sure do love Adyson, and are so excited that we got to be with her to celebrate her special day!!!

After the party I got the other 2 kids and we went to SAMs, and well lets just say we got A LOT of compliments on the cat ear headbands (even Molly...Mrs Erin sent a goody bag home for her).  They were a hit for everyone!

Sweet Wyatt turns 4...

Sweet Wyatt officially turns 4 tomorrow (Sat), but we celebrated with him last Friday night at the Boys & Girls Club in Fayetteville.  It was so much fun, and the kids loved that they got to swim.  Thanks Wyatt for having us out to celebrate with you!!!  We love you sweet boy!

Don't you just love that face...

So excited that this little guy calls me Aunt Mimi!!!

RazorFest...I can SMELL football season...

A couple of weeks ago we took the kids down to RazorFest at the UofA for the Red/White game festivities.  We all had such a good time, especially because the weather was perfect.  And I know I don't have to tell you this again, but I LOVE football season, so it thrilled me to be able to celebrate the kick-off to the new season!

I actually sponsored a booth down there for work, so we had these great VIP passes that allowed us to get good food!  And of course my booth made a big splash with the Adidas face stickers...BIG HIT!!!!
We were able to take the kids into the Broyles Center and they could sit on these bleachers and watch the team practice on the field.  I love that they get to see so much of where I spent so much time when I was in college...
Not sure what was wrong with her at this very moment...THIS is MOLLY!!!
 Me and my sweet girl...
 Let's Call Those Hogs!!!!

Such a great day, and the kids had a blast!  We haven't been since Carter was 1 or 2, and it has definitely changed since then!
