A Garden Goody...

Last night Chris came in with this yummy goodness from our garden.  I LOVE watermelon, so we decided to plant some this year in our first garden.  And this is the first ripe one that we have gotten.  It was perfect, and even better that we grew it ourselves.

If you know us at all, you know that we can't keep flowers blooming or trees for that matter, but we decided this year that we would try our hand at gardening.  It has been very successful, and I think next year Chris will do an even bigger one.

Shopping...

So, yesterday the kids and I went grocery shopping...I know what you're thinking, what in the world?  It really isn't that bad.  I of course fed them first, then we made our trip to Walmart.  On the way to town Carter wanted to help make the shopping list...the funny thing is I told him only 1 thing to put on there, the rest he added (which were all things we needed).  Love that he is such a big helper!

Friday Frenzy...

Last night Gravette had the 40/29 Friday Frenzy Game of the Week.  So, with that comes some air time for my cheerleaders.  I think they had a good time doing it!  And check out Mike's WHITE teeth, and being with teenagers they were not afraid to ask him how he got them that white!  Ha :)

Here are a couple of my future cheerleaders...All 4 kids had such a good time last night at the game.  Some of their friends came, so they got to play, and then of course they LOVE all my cheerleaders.
Overall, it was a great night, finished off with the Lions beating Pea Ridge for our first win of the season!

California Sun and Sickness...

So, this week I left on Monday for sunny San Diego, CA.  I had been looking forward to this trip for months now.  I went with a few people from my office, and our plan was to really learn more about the Hispanic shopper and how we could reach them better with our products.  So, early Monday morning we set out of XNA for San Diego.  When we got there, you automatically thought it was amazing as soon as you stepped off the plan.  The weather was perfect, you can see the palm trees and smell the ocean.  We had a conference call, and then took in lunch at this place called World Famous (2nd photo below).  We sat on their porch, where we could see people walking on the pier, surfing, and laying on the beach.  The whole time I am thinking, do these people not work here.  I mean really, they were all over the place and not in "work" clothes.

I didn't get a picture of people surfing so I found this one online...it was awesome watching the waves and the surfing...
the food here was amazing...so far San Diego was as I remembered it from several years ago...
Then the real fun began, we started walking stores, and about the 3rd store I started to feel HORRIBLE.  I thought it was car sickness (I don't get carsick), and so I took a little bit of break while the other 2 girls went into store.  I started to feel better, and then by dinnertime, I was done.  I quickly figured out it was not the car, but the nice stomach bug had decided to travel with me to San Diego...I mean how could it.  So, we quickly went back to hotel after dinner (of which I had NONE from them authenic mexican place).  I proceeded to stay here for the next day and half...

I ended up going to bed at 8:00 PM and sleeping until 7:00 AM, and if you know me that is not normal.  I then tried to get up and get ready to then realize I was not going to make it.  So, I spent all day in my hotel sleeping, watching tv, working a litle, and pretty much recovering before we fly back the next day.

On Wed., I woke up feeling a little better, but not 100%.  None the less, I had to get out and head home.  We started off with a great breakfast, which was the first food I had eaten really in a day and a half (other than toast and soup the day before).  It was awesome!  We sat outside and enjoyed the nice scenery, at least I got to see something other than the inside of the hotel.

Me and my friend Jen...sure wish it would have been a better trip to get to hang with her more

And to top it off we ended the trip with In & Out Burger.  I know, you are thinking you were just sick, but who can pass this up, and I had kept down all the other food I had eaten (pancakes).  :)  So, I did eat a little of it, and then we headed to the airport.
Although San Diego wasn't all that I had hoped, there were a few things that we did get to see before I got sick.  Hopefully my next trip to LA in a couple of weeks will be a better experience for me.

By the way, I forgot to tell you while I was chilling in my hotel room sick, Chris and Bailey weren't feeling too hot here at home either.  Beware people, this stomach bug lingers in your household!

Sweet Paisley...

This sweet girl turned 3 last week, and we were able to celebrate her this past weekend.  It was a great night of soup, presents, hayride, and even a dance party.

I can't believe that Paisley is 3!  I remember the day that Amber had told us they were pregnant, because it was the same day that we told them.  We had them over for dinner, and Chris showed her the ultrasound...little did we know they had a very similar picture.  Our due dates were 1 week apart, which is crazy, and even more exciting Paisley was actually born one week early on Molly's due date.  They were exactly the same weight and height when they were born...a little weird if you ask me, and pretty much twins.  I love that Molly will always have her cousin so close in age.

Here is sweet Paisley and her cake...
We all have our jackets and glow sticks and are ready for the hayride...
 Love these sweet girls...
What a better way to end a 3 year olds birthday party then with a dance party...nothing like dancing to Teen Beach Movie...if you don't know what that is, you should check it out on Disney...kind of catchy :)

Evening Entertainment...

So, while I was enjoying the city views in NY this past week, Chris had his own views he was enjoying!  On Tuesday night, I got these 2 pictures and almost pooped my pants...

This was outside our house ...
This is Kennedy holding said snake above...wow!  What are my kids thinking?  Chris said it was an entertainment object for them for about 30 mins.  They were literally playing with the dead snake...yes Chris did kill it before they held it and played with it.  Crazy!  I am glad that I was not around to see it.  The good thing is at least with the cooler weather, maybe we will stop seeing all these snakes around out house!  Here's to being hopeful!

Beautiful views...

This past week I was in NY for about 3 days for a training for work.  There were several people from my office here there, so some of our friends from the NY office took us out to dinner and to see some amazing views...

We went to the roof of The Standard Hotel...one of the best views I have ever seen there.  I love looking out at the city at night.  You could literally see every angle of the city depending on which side of the roof you were on...

This was my view from my bathroom in the hotel.  Now we didn't stay at this hotel, but when I went to the bathroom, they were all windows facing out...so needless to say I could have stayed in the bathroom all night...breath-taking!

Our office in NY is moving from Park Ave to the Empire State Building.  And since we work there we get a fast past to the top and can go for free.  So, after training on the first day we had just enough time to hike it up 86 floors to the top of the ESB!  Let me tell you amazing!  I know its all just buildings, but for some reason, I love the look of it.

Now, although these views were amazing, we had some GREAT food while we were there, I would NOT want to live there.  It is a great place to visit for a few days, but I definitely miss my small town feel when I am there, and of course the family!

While, I was enjoying the views of the city, Chris did an amazing job with the kids each day!  Getting them ready, lunches pack, and out the door for school everyday is a chore and he did it without a hitch!  I love that I don't have to worry about them or him while I am gone.

Funny kids and planes...

So, I left this past week on Tuesday for NY for a work training.  My big kids were out of school that day, so they had lots of questions for me before I left for the airport.  Several things...they thought I was going to walk out of my house and get on the plane in our driveway (wouldn't that be nice), and then they asked if I was going to see God?  And as much as I want to see God, I didn't want to see him that day.  So, I quickly replied that I wouldn't be high enough to see him, but I would definitely talk to Him.  So, as I walked out the door, I promised to document what my plane looked like and what it was like for me to board the plane.

So, here you go...mine was the little one :)

Boarding for NY...

View from my window as we were in decent to NY...
I sent the pictures to Aunt Lavon who said all the girls could say is WOW!  Since they have never flown or been to an airport to see planes take off or land this was definitely new for them.  I can't wait for the first time that they get to fly, and can see all the amazing views and look down to see what all God has created!

Stay tuned for tomorrow...I saw some of the best views I have seen in NY, and I have been there about 5 or 6 different times.  Breath-taking is all I can say!

Scarf Exchange 2013

If you know me you know I love scarves, so what better way to spend a night out with the girls then to have our First Annual Scarf Exchange.  We are always finding some way to get together...our husbands love us for that.  No really, we all LOVE scarfs, so I was reading a blog the other day and this girl and her friends had a scarf exchange.  So, I decided it would be a fun thing to start with our group.  And it did not disappoint...we met at Mojitos (our favorite place) ate some dinner/dessert and then did the exchange like a white elephant exchange at Christmas.  It was a lot of fun, and even better it was a great night out with the girls.  I can't say this enough, but I sure do love this group of girls and the great times that we have together.  We are all so grateful that for most of us our church brought us together.

Happy Birthday Kennedy Parker!

Our friends the Parkers have 6 kids, and one of them shares a birthday with Molly!  So, Saturday was party day.  After Molly's party and a little break we headed to Aspire gymnastics to celebrate Kennedy Parker!  I keep saying her last name, because that is what Kennedy and Bailey call her...its so funny!

My Kennedy loves this Kennedy!
Kennedy also loves this girl...Addison Bowers (again with the first and last name)
Kennedy and Avery (no last name...).  Can you tell who my social one is :)
Here are 2 of the other 3 with the birthday girl!  We had such a great time, and of course the kids favorite thing was the foam block pit...
Thanks Kennedy for inviting us to such a fun party!

Molly's Party...Minnie Style

This past Saturday we were able to celebrate Molly on her actual birthday! I love when that happens!  It was such a great time with friends and family!  Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate sweet Molly turning 3!

This was one of the things that Ms Brooke got Molly at her party, and she was in love with it...the girl loves her some Ariel right now.  Who can blame her that is her momma's favorite one too!

The bounce house was a BIG hit...our kids literally jumped from 9-5 on it.   Well worth the money spent.
Molly and some of her friends...
Even Auntie Renae made an "appearance" at the party...thanks for the princess dress she loves it!
And then Aunt Candy showed up with the one thing that Molly was IN LOVE with...a puppy!  No you ask, the puppy is NOT ours!!!  Kohen and Wyatt had just gotten the puppy the day before, so they of course had to bring it and all the kids loved it!  Thanks for sharing Marley with us, but glad you took her back with you!

Not a party without this special guy!!
Happy Birthday again sweet Molly!  We love you so much!

Family Fun Weekend Kick-Off...

On Friday night we went to the kickoff at Family Fun Weekend at the UofA.  They were having a Justin Moore concert in Lot56 for free.  So, we decided to load up the kids and head down there.  It was the perfect night for an outdoor concert, and it really wasn't too crazy with 4 kids.  I mean don't get me wrong, it was crazy, but overall not too bad and that is saying a lot for being Friday after a long week of school for everyone!

We started out with dinner at Burger Shack!!!  YUMMY! Then headed over to the concert across the street.

Typically they would have a pep rally the night before the home game, but since they were doing the concert they decided to do a mini pep rally on stage...I love that the girls got to see the cheerleaders, and boy did it bring back some memories for me.  There was nothing better than a Thursday night pep rally when I was in school...we all looked forward to them every home game.

Kids first concert...I think these 2 guys were the most excited!!!
He did a really good concert, and him being from AR made it even better.  I am pretty sure we CALLED THOSE HOGS about 50 times.  Makes my heart happy!

Celebrating Sweet Molly!!!

Well, I can't believe it, but my BABY is turning 3 at this exact moment!  This little bundle of joy has brought such joy to our lives, I can't imagine our life without her.  And although, we had not planned on her, God knew she needed to be a Flynt.  Glad that God knows what we need, and we don't decide that.  We love this little girl more than words can describe.  I love that she still cuddles with me and gives the sweetest kisses!

We are blessed beyond measure with all of our kids, and are grateful everyday that God put each one of them in our lives.  No matter how mad/upset/hurt we get by them, at the end of the day they are ours and we love them.

Now, back to Molly!  Today is her special day, and we get to celebrate her with her friends and family!

This is our first picture together!  By the time we had Molly we were the professionals at the hospital...ha.  No joke, after all of our friends and family left the hospital we were actually bored.  Molly was such a good baby, eating, sleeping, etc.

Love this sweet little face!!!  We can't put our finger on exactly who she looks like, she is her own individual person I guess, a perfect mix of both Chris and I!

Here she is at 1...

Look at that face...I don't think she liked her cake/party at 2...who knows!
This is the latest picture of us...on our very special girl day!
Molly, we love you and can't wait to see what the world has in store for you!

Happy 3rd Birthday Molly!

One Day Closer...

Seriously we have the sweetest babysitter for Molly.  She sent me a text last night asking if it was ok that her and her boys threw Molly a birthday party today.  And of course how can you say no to that.  She has 3 boys, so why would I take the priviledge away from her from planning a little party for a little girl.  I love that she does that, and appreciate her even more!

Molly and Colt...her BFF on MWFs...

Sweet girl turns 3 tomorrow...

Thanks Brooke for celebrating Molly's birthday today, I know she had a great time!
