Our Boy is 4!!!!

I know it's a little late, but oh well. Last Friday Carter turned 4, I know can you believe it? We had his Buzz Lightyear birthday party on Saturday, and again he wanted a pool party. So, off we went to Nana Flynts to enjoy the cool pool on a very HOT day!!! It was a lot of fun, and Carter enjoyed himself of course especially swimming with his friends.

My friend Jessica made his cake and cupcakes, and did a wonderful job. Carter loved them! I think the alien cupcakes were my favorite

I just love this picture, Carter and Kennedy with my sister and dad

Had to put this one on here...the one thing Carter told EVERYONE that he wanted for his birthday was nerf guns. So, almost everyone seemed to follow through and he got several nerf guns. He has been obsessed since we got back from our friends house in VA on vacation. He played with them the entire time we were there. So, of course after the party Paige and Carter broke them out and shot them everywhere in the house.

For some reason Carter was covering his ears when we all sang to him...weird, he has never done that before

Finally got him to take his hands off, but the wind had blown out his candles before he could :(

And still like he was turning 1, he dug his fingers in the icing...that is by far his favorite part.

Here are Paige, Carter, Lydia and Ava...all in one raft

Thanks to everyone for such a great party and for celebrating Carter's big day with us. A big thanks to Nana Flynt for letting us bombard her house for this special occasion

Legos...A favorite past and present time

Carter's big day is coming very shortly...tomorrow, and my friend Renae was in town last weekend for a wedding and decided to stop by and give him an early gift. She actually got this while we were in Chicago at the Lego store, so I knew what he was getting. He loved it to say the least, and well so did Chris.

Look at my proud boys....

Here Buzz is standing alone....thanks Renae, its a big hit

Back to School

Well, I am a little late in getting this up, but better late than never. Last Thursday, Carter started his first day of PreK-4. So far he is doing well, it took him a little to get used to his new teacher, but seems to be doing well. He has several people in his class from last year so I think that is helping.

Isn't he getting so big...

And while Carter is away the girls will play....or read books. It was kind of weird for them I think to get used to not seeing Carter all day. We had a good time just us girls...we did however read every book that we have, which is what we do everyday.

When I went to get the girls to go pick up Carter, this is how I found them. Kennedy was honestly sleeping like this, it is so funny.

Big Beds All Around

Last weekend was a big time for our household...all of our kids got new beds. Carter got his first big boy bed. He loves it, and feels so big because he has a different bed. With Carter getting a big bed the girls then transitioned to toddler beds, as we needed their beds to make all this possible. Bailey's bed is now Carter's again since it turns from a crib to full size, and Kennedy's bed will be the new baby's bed.

I still need to find bedding for the girls beds, but at least they are in them. They actually have done great in them. It has really been no problem for them. The first day at naptime they talked and pulled clothes out of their dresser, and kept getting in each others beds, but eventually went to sleep. They have not once tried to open the door to come out. Even in the morning, they wait for me to come in there and get them. I think they just like being able to lay by each other now. We are very thankful that they have transitioned so well.

Fun with the Morris Family

Last weekend we finally got to get together with our friends Rich and Renee Morris and their sweet girl Sallie. It was so much fun, the boys got to golf, we got to play outside with kids, and most importantly just hang out with our dear friends. Isn't it crazy how their little girl looks like Kennedy and Bailey.

Carter, Sallie, Bailey, and Kennedy

Carter and Sallie really loved playing and hanging with each other...do we see a match in the future

Papa Time

Our kids love their papa's, and they got to spend some time with each of them a couple weeks go.

Here are the girls with my dad during their naptime...I guess they would not fall asleep in their own bed, so softy Papa Webb let them sleep on him. Funny thing is looking at Kennedy here, I know there is a picture of me just like that on my dad asleep. This is the first time I have really thought she looks like me. I am going to try and find it at some point and compare. Carter was being good and sleeping in his room. :)

Papa Flynt came over for breakfast one Saturday morning, and if you can't tell the kids loved it when he would read to them. You would think they would have set on the couch, but nope they all piled in the hard chair in the kitchen.
