Enjoying the Little Things...

I saw this sign on Instagram the other day, and LOVED it!  We are crazy busy all the time brought on by myself of course, but this picture made me just stop and think.  My kids are growing up so fast, I mean the twins will start Kindergarten in the Fall, man where did time go?  I am really going to be making an effort moving forward to just ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS!

For instance, this....you know you're a REDNECK if...
yep, you see if correct, Chris is strapping a car seat in the back of the Rhino...hey at least it is 5pt Harness...hahaha.  Molly thought it was the best thing every!  This weather was perfect this weekend, and we spent A LOT of time outside.  The kids love riding on the Rhino, so Carter, Bailey, Molly and Chris went for a ride.

While me and this little one got to hang out...
It was so fun to just hang with her, she rode her bike, we jumped on the trampoline and both enjoying some swinging!  I love when I get one on one time with each kid, I hope that it makes them feel special too!  Saturday was extra special for me because I got to spend some time with just her!

So, let me encourage you to stop and ENJOY the LITTLE THINGS, as you never know what life will throw at you!

Spring Break Sleepovers...

This is the site of a very exciting sleepover on Friday night...

On Friday morning I started thinking how fun it would be to surprise the kids with some of their friends for a sleepover...and well Chris agreed so when I came home so did Merrick and Ashlyn...

It was so fun having them here, and they ALL did really well.  They played and played and played...ate brownies and popcorn and watched movies.  Sleepover = Success!

The boys did their own thing and the girls did theirs...

Here we are on the way to take them home on Sat., and just so you know I was stopped when I took this.  :)
I can't wait for the next one!

Sucker lady...

Molly went to our friend Jennifer's (Jen L David Photography) house the other day with Brooke when she had her boys pictures taken.  Well of course she was nice enough to take Molly's sweet picture too.  Aren't these pictures adorable?  Colt thinks Mrs. Jennifer is the sucker lady and I am certain Molly will too now!

Thanks Jen for sharing these with me, and thanks Brooke for letting Molly tag along.

Colorful birthday fun...

On Saturday we got to celebrate this sweet little boy turning 6!!!!!

I was so blessed to be there when he was born, and then again the actual day he turned 6.  I sure do love my sweet Kohen!

Look how handsome this sweet boy is...
Here are me and the proud MAMA then...
And now...the funny thing is, we are on the exact same side and we didn't even plan it.  HA!
Candy always does a great job of planning the kids birthday parties, although, I think Kohen has a BIG part of what he wants for his party.  His mom just does a great job of follow through...
My kids had such a great time painting at his party, and can't wait to get their works of art back...
 Happy Birthday Kohen!
I love this picture of the girls and their aunt Candy...
To take a look back at Kohen's arrival into the world check it out here

Family...

I didn't think this title needed anything other than FAMILY!  I know I have said it if not 1 time a 1,000 times, but I LOVE my family.  I love that we have constantly been getting together since I was born and before me they did as well.  I love the BIG family that I have, and that at any moment I could call any one of them for help.  I used to pick hanging out with my family over my friends when I was in school.  People would think I was crazy, but I just loved being around them so much!

Here are my dad and 4 of his siblings (3 are missing) on Sunday singing at church.  I love seeing them all still getting up and singing together, and hope that they continue to sing together.

Uncle David, Uncle Gerald, Uncle Frank, Dad and Aunt Lavon...

My cousins were in from Mena this past weekend for a few days, so that means gathering at my Aunt Lavon and Uncle Jerry's house for some cards, dominoes, and food of course.

Molly was all about Uncle Jerry, it is probably because he let her use him as a jungle gym....love these sweet moments...

Not sure the kind of family that everyone has, but I am TRULY grateful for the one that I have!

First of MANY Excursions...

On Friday night we took some of our friends out to look at the land, and let me tell you I think they kids are going to LOVE it out at the new land.  It was hilarious, Carter would just take his little group on little adventures all through the woods.  I can tell that he is going to really like being able to play out there with his friends.   The best part is, it was SO peaceful out there while we were all just standing around talking, I can tell I am going to love sitting on the back porch hanging with our friends and family.

The Roughleys have 3 kids, and had 2 of the Bartmier kids, so we had a total of 9 kids out there.  How fun!!!  I know I will probably say this a lot in the next couple of weeks, but I am SO excited to get the house started and seeing some progress!

My Blanket Fort

My sweet friend Karen entered the blogging world today!!!!  I am SO very excited for her.  Let me tell you people she will be down right perfect at it!  She has been mine and several of our friends go-to person for questions regarding but not limited to:  skin, poop, essential oils, sunless tanners, etc.  You name it and she has tried everything or for sure researched it!  And I really think she will put a fun spin on some every day things.  She is one funny lady, and not only do I love the fact that we are scary movie buddies, but I love that she is willing to share her knowledge and trial and errors with the world now!  Her link is in my favorite sites section, but you can also find it here http://myblanketfort.net.

I love this picture of us that we took last year when we went on a girls trip to Dallas.

Snow Day Snuggles...

This weather is about to DRIVE me CrAzY!!!  Last Saturday it was a nice day of 60 degrees, and then on Sunday it drops to 20 degrees and snows :(.  With the first day of Spring now upon us, I am hoping for happier weather days!

It started raining early Sunday morning, and by 10 AM it had turned to snow.  We were over at Nana Flynt's house visiting, when the HUGE flakes started to fall.  Later that afternoon we headed home and Chris headed to work.  And what did we do, well we ate dinner, put on our pjs and watched Tinkerbell.  Even though I HATE the snow right about now, I love the time of just snuggling with my kids on days like these.

Such sweet times, with sweet girls!

Foundations Annual Road Rally...

Our Sunday School class had our annual Road Rally this past weekend.  We always have such a good time when my family does this, so a couple of years ago we started doing one for our class.  It is definitely one of the most attended class events that we do.  Can you tell we have  A LOT of competitive people in our SS class.  Chris and I hosted it this year at our house, and my dad once again came through BIG time and came up with the clues.  I love that he loves doing this kind of thing so that our class can have a good time!

We break up into teams of 3 or 4, and off we go.  The kicker is we don't have spouses together, so you are with others in the class...allows us to fellowship right and get to know more about each other :).

I had a great team this year, and even though we didn't win (which I disliked) we had a GREAT time.

Me and my friend Jen Davis...
Our team...me, Luke, Jen and Daniel...
What a wonderful fellowship this is...we are so blessed by a wonderful SS class that are just like our family.

If you are wondering how Chris did, well he was the cook so he stayed back (his choice) and did that and had people calling him if they needed clues.  He was awesome at keeping all of us in line, and tallying up the pts at the end to determine the winners...

Congrats to Carl, Jon, Emily and Brooke who won this year!!!

Upward Complete...

Saturday was Carter's last upward basketball game, and then last night was Upward Celebration night.  Carter had such a great time playing basketball this year, and his coach was so good with his team.

Since Bentonville had school on Saturday there were several kids that couldn't make the game.  And the team we were playing only had 4 players while we had 6, therefore, we gave them one of our players (Carter) so that they could play 5 on 5.  I was so proud of Carter for volunteering to go over to the other team, even though he was so excited to play with his teammates.
I definitely see a difference in Carter's ability from the first week to the last, and I think he enjoyed it even more toward the end...

Here he is with his original team doing their last huddle and star awards...Carter got the Christ-like star because he gave of himself for others...again SO proud...

On another note, #34 is Camden, and he was the only one on the team that hadn't scored a basket all season.   ALL the boys tried all morning to get him the ball even when they had the open shot, and let me tell you he made a perfect basket in the last quarter.  We were all so excited, as were the boys!  Kudos to all the boys who gave up shots for Camden to make one...what teamwork!
 Carter and Coach Chris...
Carter and Coach Chad (his coach for the last game)
And these 2 boys are crazy...not only did Carter switched teams on Sat., but Jaxon did too.  What good boys!

Sleeping Beauty and her Boots...

This little angel of ours is a pill in getting to bed most nights.  If I go in her room once, I go in a thousand times.  I think she feels that bedtime means party time!  Well, the other night I walked in there to find her chilling with her cowboy boots on.

I am sure hoping this phase of playing when we put her to bed is over quickly!  Especially when we move to the new house, as I don't want to be walking up and down the stairs a thousand times...WAIT...maybe I need to do that for exercise, as we all know I have NO time for that right now.

As crazy as she is, I do love this picture...

Crazy Hair...

This past Wednesday night at Awana was CrAzY hair night, and let me tell you the kids LOVE this night.  We have some very interesting hairdos on this night.  And well, we of course had to parttake in the fun...

Carter borrowed my Thing 1/2 wig from Halloween since he doesn't have any hair...
And well, mine was a little crazy with random ponytails throughout...the girls thought it was very funny!  I also got called Minnie Mouse a few times, which I am thinking is because I had red/white polka dots on one of my bows...
What a fun night of CrAzY hair at Awana...

The Perks...

You know you are a crazy HOG fan when you sit in the kitchen at work watching the SEC Tournament game.  Now this is one of the MANY perks that I get for working at Coty.  But let me tell you, I love the new office especially with the kitchen/break area with cable so I am able to do this...

Bring on March Madness...

And just in case you were wondering, yes I was VERY productive while sitting in the kitchen watching the game.

Horton and a new tractor...

Last week was Dr. Suess week at the big kids school, and Chris had to join in on the fun on Friday evening...gotta love some Horton!

So, if you know my husband you know he is a country guy!  He loves to work/play outside, and he definitely loves to have a need to use a tractor.  He had typically borrowed my uncles tractor, but him and my dad have been talking about getting one together for a couple of weeks.  So, Saturday after Carter's basketball game they decided to head down to Tontitown where this guy is now working....
Yep, your eyes do not deceive you, that is my cousin Lance.  And he works at the John Deere tractor place and sold my dad and Chris a tractor.  Doesn't that just seem crazy!  I love the look of Lance at the computer, but must admit, it was crazy when Chris sent me the picture.  I also love the fact that now Chris and my dad own a tractor together!  They are both going to get so much use out of it, especially now that we have 15 acres to control!!!!

Special morning stories...

Look at the girls and their focus on Papa Webb....
I love that my dad comes up to the house 3 days a week, and takes the big kids to school.  First of all, it saves me and Chris on time, but the best part is the kids LOVE getting to see and ride with their Papa.  Although Molly doesn't get to ride with him, she ALWAYS greets him with a screaming Papa as soon as he walks in the door.  It melts my heart to see their excitement for my dad, and how they cherish this time with him.

He takes advantage of these mornings to tell them stories while they eat breakfast, and on the way to school.  And as of right now they are not scary stories...but just wait until they get old.  And you all wonder where I got it.  Ha!!!

#WTA...

Last week was Women Tell All night on The Bachelor.  Every Monday there are a group of girls that come to my house to hang out, eat food, and of course watch some Bachelor.  It is always such a good time with these ladies.  There are about 8 or 9 of us that get together, and we ALWAYS have a great time.

Last week after we were done watching WTA, we decided to take some pictures that Jennifer and I could post to Instagram...and lets be honest it was 11:30 PM at this point, so we were a little delirious...

Me, Crissy, Danielle, Lauren and Jennifer...
Silly...
Thanks to these awesome ladies, who always make me excited for Monday nights to get here.

Love you all!

Another day of SNOW fun...

We again this past Sunday got a dose of Thunder/Sleet/Snow, yes you saw that right, thunder & sleet at the same time.  It was the craziest thing, I am not sure I have ever hear or seen it before.  I don't know about you all but I am DONE with all this crazy winter weather, and apparently we can't make up our mind if we want to be Spring or not.  I mean the day before the the Thunder/Sleet it was 65 degrees...seriously...DONE!

With the weather it called for a couple more SNOW days for the kids.  I got to stay home with them on Monday, and then Tuesday I had some of their favorite people come over and play...Nick and Halle.  I am pretty sure they all peed their pants when they walked in that morning, they were so excited!   I love that they love their cousins so much and vice versa...I have some amazing memories with my cousins growing up and even today!

After hanging out inside, they begged Halle and Nick to take them outside, and they had the best time!  Halle sent me these pics, I secretly think Nick and Halle had a blast too!

I LOVE this pic of Bailey, and of course the photography from Halle, such a good pic!
As cute as these pics are, I am ready for the Spring weather to get here and STAY!!!!

Wacky Wednesday...

This little girl had Wacky Wednesday today in honor of Dr. Seuss week at school.  Too bad they have had to miss 2 of the crazy days because of the SNOW/ICE!!!  She was so excited to be able to dress all wacky!  I can tell you one thing, this girl is going to love her some spirit weeks when she gets older.

Fruit Loops...

I love that Brooke does little crafts with our 2 little ones, and I am sure today, both Molly and Colt loved the craft...I mean who doesn't love fruit loops, and better yet bracelets that you can eat?  I am craving one right now!!!  :)  And if you know me at all you know I am not lying about that one...I LOVE CEREAL!

I just think these 2 have the best time together, even when one is being rotten to the other one.
Thanks Brooke for sharing these daily activities with me!

Surprise visit from MeMe...

On Wednesday night, I was heading to our final basketball game and had a little time to kill.  So, considering our game was in Lincoln I decided to stop in for a surprise visit and see some of my favorite little man and my best friend.  I think I pulled off the surprise, and the look on Candy's face when she opened the door was worth it all.  I wish that I was down that way more often to do it more, but my crazy life is just that crazy!

I had such a good time, even though short, hanging out with them for the time that I did.

Thanks to the Johnsons for allowing me to crash their dinner time and play for a bit!

Love these boys...
