Special lunch time date...

Last week when I was in Fayetteville for my radio debut I was able to meet up with Candy to have a yummy lunch!!!

You would think with us living 40 mins apart we would see each other more, but NO that is not the case.  It's hard when we both have kids (and me :)) that are very involved in activities that keeps us apart.  And the fact that I rarely coming to Springdale or Fayetteville for anything.

It is very sad, but at least I get to talk to her every day while coming into work.  And on the occassional surprise lunches we have the best time!  Sure love the times that I do get to spend with this girl!!!!

The other crazy part is they have just sold their house, so they too will be building soon!!!  Crazy how we end up doing things at the same time the majority of times.

Thanks Candy for taking a little time out of your day to eat with me...had a great time!

Radio Debut...

Last week I had the priviledge to make my radio debut (will air the morning of May 11th) and talk about Horses for Healing.  It was such an honor to talk about an amazing non profit organization that I have come to love and enjoy being a part of.  KIX 104 is one of our sponsors for the event, so myself and Linda went and spoke on behalf of HfH.  I got to meet the morning show guys, Jake and Woody, and let me tell you they sound just the same in person as they do on air in my car.  They act just the same as well...

Jake is the one that we did the interview with, and he was so easy to talk to and made my first radio experience an enjoyable one.  My next one will be in June, and it will be LIVE...oh my goodness won't that be exciting!

If you think about it listen to KIX104 on Sunday, May 11th sometime between 6-8 AM, as we talk about HfH and what an amazing organization they are.

Easter Sunday...

We had such a great Easter this year, and we were so excited to get to spend the morning at church and then the afternoon/evening with family.

This is the crew before church...just love these kids...

sadly, we did not get a family picture on Easter...I promise I was there...
See this is the only picture of me the whole day...the price you pay for being the picture taker...
After church we came home changed (girls didn't want to) and then headed to my aunt Linda and uncle Gerald's house.  This is our gathering place for Easter, and we love it.  We always eat a great potluck lunch and then spend the afternoon playing games and hunting eggs for the kids.  This year was a little sad, as I brought 4 of the 5 kids there hunting eggs.  It is sad to know that either the younger kids live in CA or AK, or the kids are getting older and out of the hunting eggs phase...
This is the crew...my cousin Brandon married a girl who had a little boy, so we are so excited to have a new little guy the twins age at family gatherings now...
Some of the kids just can't get out of hunting eggs...all the bigger kids were so nice to hide the eggs and then help the littles find them.  The sad thing is we had less kids this year, and just as many eggs as we have had in the past...280 eggs to find between 5 kids...wow!!!  I mean Carter found 67, crazy?!?!?!?!

Side note:  doesn't my cousin Blake look scary?  Do you know which one I am talking about?  Watch out Highfill he will get you :)
My girls love these 2...I can't believe that in less than a month they will be graduating.  Not sure what we will do without Ashlyn picking them up everyday and bringing them home?  Wait, we have Halle :).  And let's be honest Jake is a sport to put up with these girls...

SS Easter Egg Hunt...

We always have such a great time with our SS group, and our Easter Social was no different.  The kids had a great time hunting eggs, but more importantly just having a good time with all of their friends at the Roughley's house.  I love our little group, and am grateful that we all have kids the same age and enjoy each others company.

The funny part is, our "first" group to hunt is the 3 and under kids, well that group has quickly become our smallest group.  We now have a ton of kids 5+ which wasn't the case for so many years.

Seriously...this was the best one I could get of them...
This is our group of kids....and it is not even all of us.  There were several couples that couldn't make it.  Check out Bailey on the end at the left...she was not happy she had to take this picture.  Love it!
What a wonderful time with our friends celebrating and fellowshipping together.

Easter Weekend...Round 1

Last Friday the girls had their PreK Easter Egg hunt at school.  They had the best time, and I was so excited to get to go to this with them.  This was just the start of our BIG Easter weekend of Easter Egg Hunts.  Poor Carter doesn't have Easter Egg parties or hunts anymore at school...the price of getting older.  :)

2 of the sweetest and craziest girls I know...

Hanging out with them for snack time!  How exciting!

I love getting to hang out with them at school and see their little friends that they talk about all the time.

I think the best part of their day was when Nana Flynt picked them up from school for a sleepover with her and the Addington kids.  They had such a good time, and felt special with Nana getting them.

Machine Pitch...

This is Carter's first year playing machine pitch baseball.  I missed his first game, as I was in NY that week :(.  But I did get to see him last week play, and this week he had some great hits!!!  I am so excited to start this new era in baseball for Carter!

Here he is leading off his team at bat...sure love this boy and his love for baseball...

Someone had a birthday!!!!

This guy had a birthday yesterday!!!!  And he is as crazy as ever in his "old" age...

He once again would not look at me as I was trying to get his picture...will I ever get a normal picture of him smiling again?  Probably not! :)

Carter was supposed to have a baseball game last night, but because of the rain it was cancelled.  So, we ended up having mexican for dinner, coming home playing outside and having cinnamon cake and singing to the birthday boy.

Happy birthday Chris!  We love you so much, and appreciate all you do for our family!  Don't know what we would do without you.

Kennedy & Bailey's Special Day Adventure...

For my kid's birthdays my dad has started this tradition where he takes them out to Chuck E Cheese, lunch and a movie.  Last year they all went together, but this year he took the girls out by themselves.  He called on that Saturday morning, came and got them, and they were gone all day.  They had THE BEST time with him, and can't quit talking about it.  The saddest thing was that Molly couldn't go with them...she was HEARTBROKEN!  But props to Papa for not giving in...she has him wrapped around her little finger...

Just melts my heart...
What great memories to make with a grandparent....I still remember the special things that my Grandma Webb and I used to do.

When mom is away...

As I mentioned yesterday, I was in NY all last week.  And while it wasn't the best week for me to be gone for Chris (week before tax deadline), he did an awesome job with several people there to help him out along the way.  The funny part was I texted him when I landed on Friday to say I landed, and these were his exact words..."Sweet!  Fyi the house is a mess!"  Let's be honest here, when one of us is out of town our main focus is SURVIVAL and nothing else!  And let me tell you I was just glad the house was in one piece to be honest. I know it was a crazy week for him, but the kids had a great time with him and they SURVIVED!

I got these pics from Brooke on Wednesday saying Molly's hair looked really good...and Chris had done it.  Apparently the low pig tails were a BIG hit last week, and for someone who never does their hair he did a great job.

Here are Colt and Molly having a picnic lunch...
And of course they had to take a drive after lunch...I just love these 2...
Wednesdays have been Chris's nights to either work late, teach or whatever because we have Awana and are busy.  So, with keeping with tradition Nana Flynt took care of the kids while Chris worked late.  And this time Aunt Amber and Paisley joined as well while all the big kids were at Awana...what a treat!
And then on Thursday night was Carter's first "big" baseball game...aka he is doing machine pitch this year.  And who to the rescue again but Aunt Amber, as Chris helps coach.  And this picture just sums up a lot...these 2 are going to be our crazy ones...seriously you think I am kidding!  I am not!
Thanks to everyone that helped last week while I was gone, I am very grateful for you all!!!

Friday Night Family Night...

Last week I was in NY the whole week for work, so Friday night when I got back we had Family Fun Friday Night...

The weather was perfect, so off to town we went to meet Chris after work.  We ate outside at Whole Hog, then went to the park, and ended our night with ice cream of course.  We had the best time, and really enjoyed just hanging with the family!

I tried MULTIPLE times to get a good picture of all of us, and well you can see from above that it is not easy or possible!  Regardless I love the silly pictures and crazy faces...the craziest face of course is Chris as he can't smile normally for pics with me or the family.

Supper Club Baseball Fun...

A couple of weeks ago we went the Razorback Baseball game with our supper club group from SS.  We had great seats, great friends there, and a GREAT win over the #1 ranked team!

This guy is a hard one to get a picture of...he loves to avoid the camera on PURPOSE!
This sweet girl had come to the game with her dad and sat across the field from us, but they came over and visit.  I just love this picture of me and Paige...
Here is Paige and her dad...such a good picture of Father/Daughter time...
Here are Luke and Erin Bowers...
 And Dale and Tracey Murphy...
We had a great time of fellowship with these great couples...we are blessed by our SS class for sure.

Girls getting pampered...

Last weekend while Chris was at work slaving away (Carter was with him), me and the girls decided to treat ourselves to a little pampering.  It is the first time that I have taken all 3 girls to do this.  I have gone individually with each of them, but it was extra special with all of us.  They all LOVED it, and Molly kept asking when do I get water in my tub?  ha :)

Here we are all enjoying our pampering time.  After this we went and got lunch and then to get Carter.  I will cherish these times with the girls, shopping, nails and then lunch.  Hope they continue to want to hang out with me.

Poor Sick Carter...

This little guy wasn't feeling the best last week.  He had some major drainage that made him puke everytime he coughed...YUCK!  And by 5:30 on Wednesday afternoon he was screaming with pain that his ear hurt.  So after a couple hours on numbing ear drops not working, off to Well Quest we went.  Well, turns out he has an ear infection, poor guy!

This was him in the drive thru line at the pharmacy...he was so tired and apparently in a lot of pain!
Thankfully we got him some meds and he started to feel better, and the best part no more puking from drainage!  :)

Selfie love...

My cousin Halle watches the kids in the afternoon at school, and is always so good about taking pictures with them.  I love that she documents these times with the kids, and that she enjoys keeping them so much!  These are not fake smiles people!!!!

And while Halle was taking selfies with the big kids, this little one was "working" at my office.  Brooke had dropped her off right before I left work the other day, and let me tell you she loves to come to my office and do work.  She knows where one of my co-workers keeps her crayons and coloring books (stress reliever for her), so she feels right at home.

By the way, everyone in my office loves it when my kids come to visit, therefore, my kids feel like rockstars when they are there.

Jelly Beans and Giggles...

So on Monday night for our weekly girls night we decided to crash Danielle's house rather than mine for the week.  There were several people not able to make it, but my friend Karen and I went and had such a good time with Danielle.

I know most of you know but Coty owns Sally Hansen, so the other day my co-worker gave me a BUNCH of the new colors for Spring.  So since I had all these new colors we decided to tryout a few of them...

Karen couldn't decide what color she wanted so she painted each of her toes a different color...don't they look like jelly beans?
As you can tell she ended up changing them in the end to the green, but I really liked the jelly bean look.  I went all crazy with the blue/green toes and the purple nails...aggressive on end don't you think?

We all had such a good time laughing, eating and just downloading from our day.  Thanks to Karen and Danielle for making the night so fun!  Love the mani/pedi girls nights for sure!

Practicing for the Beach...

This past weekend the weather was SO nice, so we had a lot of playing outside time.  On Sunday afternoon we went up to our friends the Roughleys to play.  They are building on to their house, so they have a sand pile, and my kids thought it was awesome...especially Molly!

They had the best time, and like my post yesterday...I was ENJOYING the LITTLE things...
We are actually going to the beach with the Roughleys and another couple this summer, so Crissy and I just kept telling each other they were practicing their sand castle building skills, and well their burying skills...
At one point we caught Lydia leading the girls around the yard, and I think they were playing some kind of school.  Although I don't know what they were doing, they were having a blast doing whatever it was...
Thanks Crissy for supplying the sand!!!
