Happy Birthday, Carter!!!

Carter is officially 3 today, well at 9:20 AM anyways. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. I still remember my feelings and thoughts when the nurse came in and said you are ready to push. All these emotions ran through me, but I knew that we were getting such a great blessing. I think God for Carter, and what he has brought to our lives. He says the funniest things, does the funniest things, and always brings a smile to my face and sometimes a tear to my eye. Although, there are times that are tough with him, I have to keep reminding myself that he is still learning.

We are heading to school later today with cupcakes, he was so excited this morning when he saw them on the counter. Will have more pictures later.

Chris took him out for donuts this morning before school...that's right, feel him up on sugar then drop him off.

Then there were 5...

Yesterday I kept my friend Michelle's kids while she went to several doctors appts. She has 3 kids and 2 on the way...yep twins. Anyways, one of her boys is in school, Edan is 2, and Brynnlee is almost 7 mths. So, Edan and Brynnlee play really well with Carter and the girls. I actually got a picture of the girls, sorry none of the boys. I think they all had fun together, and it was not too crazy. It was nice they all took naps at the same time, etc. It was really funny, Brynnlee and Kennedy kept taking toys away from Bailey...one day she will get them back I'm sure of it.

The Helmet

Chris got Carter a helmet the other night, and he loves it. I didn't think we were gonna get it off him for school the other day. So, when he got home we had to try it out.

Look how proud he is of the helmet and of his bike...

He even wanted Bailey to wear it, so cute...this is how I found her when I came back from the bedroom. He did this all on his own, so funny

3rd Birthday Party

On Saturday we had Carter's 3rd Birthday Party, a pool party at Nana Flynt's house. He had a a great time I think. I know I keep saying this, but I can't believe he is 3. Thanks to all of our friends and family members who came, Carter loved having you all there and appreciated all the great gifts.

My art piece....I decided I was gonna try and make his cake. I think that it turned out pretty good, especially considering I am no cake professional and I did not use a pan mold. I made the cake itself from scatch and decorated from looking at a picture. Of course I did go over to Nana Flynt's house to get her help, and I think it turned out good. The mouth was the hardest part, but I was happy with my first experience. Not to say that I will do it every year, but I'm glad I did this one. And the best part, everyone had black mouths after they ate it at the party.

Carter was so sweet to stop and pose with his sisters for his special day.

I think Bailey was tired at this point

Chris and I got Carter a bike for his birthday, and he loved it. He has not stopped riding it since we got it home. Now he has a helmet to go with it to. If he's anything like his dad he will need full body armor to go with that helmet. :)

Eating cake...he was only interested in the icing...of course the black icing

PK-3

Last Thursday Carter started PK-3, man can you believe it. First of all, that he is 3 and secondly that he is old enough to go to Preschool. He goes 2 days a week, and so far (2 days) he is loving it. He is making some new friends, and in class with several that he goes to church with. His teacher is amazing, and he really seems to likes her.

I did really well dropping him off, well that is until his teacher gave me this little bag full of goodies saying she would watch over him like he was her own. I only shed a few tears, but knew that he was going to have a blast.

Overload

So, I'm sorry to overload you all with so many posts. I had lost my camera cord for a week, so therefore, I am a little behind. Of course it was the week that a lot went on in our house. So, I will let you all get caught up, and I will post more later today or tomorrow...still to come, Carter's First Day of PreK, and his 3rd Birthday Party. The first one I posted today was Standing Tall...enjoy!

Family Vacation

Last Sunday we decided to take a little family trip to Branson for a few days. So, we loaded up the kids and headed out. We went to Silver Dollar City on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. Carter had a good time riding the rides and the train. We have not been there besides Christmas time in a while, so it was fun just to walk around. The girls had a good time, and did very well the entire time. It was a great little getaway, that was enjoyed by all. Oh by the way, Chris had pulled his back somehow on Sat., so it was a little crazy for him and us, but we managed. And to top it off Kennedy had pink eye...not sure how she got it, and and no one else got it, so who knows.

The Fam...

Wrangler Man

Just wanted to share my wrangler man with you all. Carter finally got his first pair of wranglers, and of course some boots to go with them. He looks so cute in them, and now he can really dress like his daddy.

Gravette Day 2009

A couple weeks ago we had the annual Gravette Day! It was a lot of fun, and not too hot. Here are a few pictures from the day, I think Carter had the best time riding the fire truck...go figure.

All my girls...

Carter in the firetruck

Carter wanted nothing to do with taking a picture with Shelby (on right) and MacKenzie (on left), one day I'm sure that will change. But I am glad that he is more interested in fire trucks than girls right now. :)

Of course the girls were decked out in their Gravette Cheer bows. They hung out with one of my friends during the parade...Kennedy slept through the parade, but Bailey seemed to like it

Standing Tall

So, Kennedy is all over the place. Since she started crawling about a month ago, she began pulling up on everything and everyone. She is so funny to watch, especially to see how quick she gets somewhere. I normally go in the girls room every morning and she is either standing waiting for me, or she crawls over and stands to get to me. She also has let go of whatever she is holding onto to stand totally on her own several times. She is a brave one. I love it...now the fun will really begin with Bailey starts getting more mobile.

Bailey is up on all fours and rocks back and forth, and goes backwards but has not mastered forwards yet. She does now go from laying to sitting, so that is really good. I know it is only a matter of time, and besides she has had Kennedy to watch for a few weeks now.

Kennedy thinks she can balance all by herself.

Good morning, Mom!!

She was playing with this tub one night, so we put her in it, she decided to lay down. So funny.
