Christmas Pics

We had my family up on Christmas morning like we normally do for breakfast and presents, then we took our first outing over to Chris's mom's house that evening for dinner and FUN!!! We were so blessed this Christmas and are very grateful that our family is happy and healthy.

Carter got a train table for Christmas, and absolutely loves it...we got some trains from some friends in TX, so we got him a table. He literally has played with it every minute that he is awake.

More Hospital Pics

Sorry it has taken so long to get these updated on the blog. I know people are excited to see more of them, and we are so excited to share more. It has been going very well. They are starting to eat more and sleep really good, especially at night. We are so very blessed for them to have a brother like Carter, he is totally in love with them. Be on the look out for more pics to come, not sure how often they will appear, but I will make sure you all see our precious family as much as possible.

It's Beginning to Look at Lot Like Twins-Mas!!

Chris here. I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce to you our 2 new baby girls. They were born today around 12:20 and they are both doing great. Misty is recovering nicely and we can't wait to take them home. Here are some pics...enjoy.

Lights on the Square

We took a trip to Fayetteville on Friday night with the Addingtons and Nana Flynt, to enjoy the lights on the square. Carter loved looking at them, and especially liked all the horses that he saw. We got a few good pictures, but Carter really was not that interested in taking any.

One day sooner...

Well, I had my doctors appt today and ultrasound. The girls are still growing. Bailey is measuring 7lbs 3ozs (Carter was 7lbs 5ozs) and Kennedy is measuring 5lbs 13ozs. I am glad that they are continuing to be healthy and growing good. Hopefully that means that they will not have to stay in the hospital any longer than normal. I was hoping to go in today and my doctor would say that she would take them on Friday this week. She did move it up, but only one day. So, if something doesn't happen naturally before, I will be going in on Monday morning, Dec 22nd with my surgery starting at 12:00 PM. I am so excited about their arrival, and at least we will get to come home on Christmas Eve, as opposed to Christmas Day. Please continue to pray for us as we now are getting even closer to the day. Pray that the girls will be able to come home the same time as us, and be as healthy as they are looking from ultrasounds. We will be sure to update everyone, at least over the blog, so keep checking...

Carter's visit with Santa

This afternoon we were finally able to go to the mall and see Santa. I can't believe that it has taken me this long, but at least we saw him before Christmas. Just like last year though Carter was not that into him, even though he had suckers and a book for him. At least he sat on my lap and we got a picture with him.

Girls Update

Well, I am now about 36 1/2 wks, I am so excited to have made it this far. I feel great, and although sometimes exhausted by the end of day or week, I really can't complain. This pregnancy has been just like Carters. I have enjoyed being able to experience the joy of being pregnant with twins. As of right now we are just waiting for them to start to make their arrival. I had a doctors appt today (Wed), and everything sounded good. I go tomorrow (Thurs) to Joplin to meet with the specialist again for Bailey's kidney. He will let us know then if he feels we need to go ahead and take them so that it does not get any bigger, etc. If he feels comfortable with me waiting for them to come on their own, then we will again just wait. So, I should know more after tomorrow. I will make sure I update the blog if anything changes. Please pray that everything looks good tomorrow for both girls, especially Bailey and that her kidney has not grown even more. Here is a picture for you to enjoy...

My friend Sarah was able to take some pictures of us a few weeks ago. They are some of my favorite family pics, too bad I had to be 8 1/2 mths pregnant. No really, they are so good, and Carter looks so cute in them. Here are a few of them...I will share more later.

We have at least started...

Well, on Sunday we started to decorate for Christmas. We were able to get our tree out and up, however, it is still not decorated. Carter loves it, especially being able to turn on the lights. I think he will really like it when it is completely decorated. Chris had planned on hanging Christmas lights on Sunday, but then it snowed, so we still have to get that done. I am sure that will be a job for this weekend.

Thanksgiving 2008

Well, I am sorry to say that I don't have many pictures from Thanksgiving this year. I had my camera, however, I did not take any pictures. I know I am crazy. Anyway, we had a great time with our friends and family. We did lunch with my family at Aunt Lavon's house, and then dinner at Chris's mom's house. It was great to have the Lightners in town, even though Russ was sick most of the time.

Here are a few pictures of what kept Chris and Carter entertained in the morning before we headed to Aunt Lavons. They were watching the Macy's Day parade and putting dots in their hair...Carter is obsessed with stickers right now, so he is playing with the extra dots that we had leftover from the girls room.
