Well, we woke up on Tuesday morning to everything covered in ICE, and several of our friends and family out of power. The Hands came over that morning to hang out while their power was out. We have been very fortunate to keep our power, which if you know where we live that is very RARE. We typically lose power, but I guess the tree trimming that they did a while back has helped.
Chris was home all day on Tuesday, and being the FLYNT that he is, he thought he could get more work done at his mom's house (so Carter and Paige could play). So, off we went, yes in the ice, to Nana Flynt's house. We had a great time, and really Chris does really well driving on the ice, I of course was a nervous wreck the entire way over there.
On Wed. night some of our friends that live out by the lake were out of power. So, we have had a little sleeper over with some friends. They have a little boy who was born in Aug., so needless to say, we are having some fun with kids.
Not sure how much we got exactly, but I am sure it is somewhere over 1 inch.

1 Month Checkup
The girls went to the doctor on Friday afternoon for their 1 month checkup. They had a very good report and as you will see below they are growing really well. Like I mentioned before, we are very blessed with babies that are sleeping and eating really well, and starting to be awake a lot more. Here are their stats...
Kennedy:
7lbs 9ozs (yes 2 whole lbs since she was born)
21 1/2"
Bailey:
7lbs 12ozs
21"
They were 10% for weight, a little about 50% for length and 25% for their head.
As you can see Kennedy is definitely catching up with her sister, and looking at them now it is hard for some people to tell them apart. I am sure it will get even harder as they get bigger and bigger.

Mini Photo Shoot...1 month old
I can't believe that Kennedy and Bailey are 1 month old today! Time sure has flown by, and they have definitely grown so much since we brought them home. We are having such a good time, and Carter loves them more and more each day I think. We did a mini little photo shoot yesterday, of course they didn't do any amazing pose, but there are still some good pics.
They have their 1 month checkup tomorrow, I will be sure to post an update to their weighs, heights, etc. They are doing really well sleeping and eating, even going 4 to 4 1/2 hrs at night.
My friend Nikki came to visit last night, it was so good to have her come and meet the girls. And Kennedy seemed to like her, so I guess that means we can continue to hang out.
Carter of course wanted to lay next to the girls, I am thinking they will never get to lay there by themselves as long as he is at home with us.

Friends come to visit
Last weekend my friend Sharon, her kids, and her mom came to meet the girls. Sharon grew up with Chris and his sisters, and we have gotten to know each other over the years. Her little girls Courtney and Carter are 3 days apart. It was so good to see her, and see how her girls reacted to Kennedy and Bailey. Lindsey loved helping out, she did such a good job feeding Kennedy. Thanks for visiting, and hopefully we can get together again soon.
Lindsey feeding Kennedy...isn't the kiss on the forehead so sweet.

Silly Bubba...
These are Carter's favorites words right now, he thinks that everyone is silly. It is so funny to hear him say it. The other day I caught Carter "playing" with Kennedy while she was swinging. I guess he wanted her to taste some of his grill food from his picnic basket.
Don't ask me why he has his pants on his head, I was not here for this picture, Chris was...I guess he thought it was funny!

Nightly Newspaper Reading
Chris reads the newspaper everyday at some point. So, the other night he tried to read it when he got home from work, and Carter wanted to be like his dad...of course. So, here are my boys reading the paper, or at least Chris is, I think Carter has some ads.

Little Black Dress and of couse a Bow...
We actually had an outing this week of lunch with Dad and his friend Andrew. So, we got the girls dressed up for the occasion. One of my cheerleaders and her mom bought the girls these outfits. The first time I put them on them, they both spit up all over them, so it was good to finally get them out of the house in them. I have not had bows on them yet, but I decided to since we were making an outing. Don't you like their little black dress...

Family Visits
Last weekend we had a visit from the Morris Family, and the girls were finally able to meet Rich, Renee and most importantly Sallie. They brought us some dinner, and just hung out for a while. Then on Saturday we went over to my cousin Lou and Mike's house to watch the Razorbacks play Miss. State. Unfortunately we lost, but we had a good time hanging out.

Back to normal...
This week was back to our normal routine, which for us meant that Carter went to PDO, and then he would be home with me and the girls all day the rest of the time. He is doing so well, and really helping me with the girls as much as I will let him.
Both of the girls have small colds right now, but nothing too terrible, just some drainage and coughing. I took Kennedy to doctor on Thurs., and she was fine they just wanted to make sure it was not RSV. The good thing is that both of the girls are past their birth weights. Kennedy weighs 6lbs 2ozs and Bailey weighs 7lbs 8ozs. That means they gained a pound in about a week, must be getting some good stuff.
Bailey's appt was on Thurs as well, and we don't know anymore than we did before. She has to have another ultrasound in 3 weeks to see if anything has grown or shrunk since her ultrasound at birth. So, we wait until then. I will be sure to let you all know when we find anything out.
This was before church on Sunday, he actually posed for Chris
When Carter gets quiet I sometimes get a little worried...but this is how I found him when he came into the living room. He then thought it would be funny to put some on my face...
My cousin Jennifer and her husband Larry came to visit us and of course meet the girls. They moved to Alaska this past summer, so they don't get to see us very often. We had such a great visit with them, and I wish that we could see them more. One day hopefully they will be back closer to home. Thanks for making time to see us while you were here Larry and Jennifer.

After 1 week...
Well, after one week with the girls at home, everything is going great. They are sleeping well, eating well, and of course pooping way too much. They had their 1 week checkup on Monday, where Kennedy weighed 5lbs 4ozs and Bailey weighed 6lbs 8ozs. Both of these weights satisfied the doctor since they had gained weigh since they left the hospital and tthey had only had milk for a couple of days. Other than that everything is going great, they really have been so much better than I ever expected twins to be.
I only have a few more days of being restricted from driving, not that I would go a lot of places but it is nice to have the option to. I was able to run to Wal-Mart with Amber's help to get a few things. It was nice to get out of the house and see the sun.
We did have our first family outing today (Sat). It was good, and definitely eventful when it came to feeding time. They did really good, and Carter for the most part sat still while we were eating and trying to feed the girls. Lets just say circus from now on....but definitely worth it.
Bailey goes to the kidney doctor this coming Thursday, so please keep us in your prayers that we will know more and find out for sure when her surgery will be.
All in all we are having a good time with them, and Chris would even say that they seem to be my little baby dolls...there are so many cute little outfits for girls.
Some cute outfits we got from our doctor...Bailey on Left, Kennedy on Right

More Christmas
We had the chance to enjoy some Christmas time with Chris's dad this past week. He got Paige and Carter tricycles, where they began having bike races through the house. We had a great time...
