Our Friend...Gardner

One of Chris's fraternity brothers and our friend Gardner recently returned from Iraq for 2 weeks. His family had a dinner for him on Saturday night, and invited us over to join in the fun. It was great to be a part of this special time with them. We also got a chance last night (Monday) to spend some time with just him and his wife Leah and their 2 daughters. It was a blast, and very special time for us. We are grateful to have friends like them.

Morris Baby Shower

This past weekend, I teamed up with several ladies to throw my dear friend Renee a baby shower. The decor was so beautiful, and we all had such a great time. Renee is due at the end of August, and looks so amazing.

Naturals Game

We decided to take in some baseball on Tuesday night. Carter has yet to go to a Naturals game, so we thought it might be nice to take him. He did rather well for him being contained to the bleachers. We had great seats that we got from some friends, and he even got to play in the playground that they have at the ballpark. We had a great time, but were totally exhausted by the time we left the park.

4th of July activities....

Well, we had a great 4th of July with our friends and family. It all started out with the Rodeo of the Ozarks that we went to on Thursday night with some friends. It was Carter's first rodeo, and he did rather well considering he was confined to bleachers. Then on Friday, we had the Webb Family annual Road Rally. Although we did not win (we came in 2nd), we had a good time and its great to know that my family still knows how to have fun and be competitive. That night we attended our churches annual FourthFest, where the choir sang several songs before an awesome fireworks show. And then finally Saturday, we spent the day with the Lightners over at Chris's mom's house. We passed babies around, swam, and most importantly ate. It seems like we were very busy, but we had a great time with everyone!!! We are truly blessed to have such amazing friends and family that we can enjoy these times with.

These are my cousins (l to r) Lou, Holly and Melissa who decided to make their own fake teeth out of the watermelon rine. These are some great lookin ladies....

Holt and Brady Meet

Ashley and Russ made the trip up for the 4th of July, so all of the little cousins finally got to meet. It was so great having them in town, and to finally get to meet Holt. Both Brady and Holt did very well all weekend, and didn't seem to be affected by those of us passing them around and kissing all over them.

Yes, Amber is holding Holt and Ashley is holding Brady.

Cheerleading Camp

Well, one reason I have not udpated the blog is because last week I was busy with cheerleading camp. I took 12 girls and 3 boys to camp at the University of Arkansas from Thurs-Sun. They all did very well, and we had a great time at camp. They got blue ribbons every night, and got a Superior trophy on final evaluation day. And most importantly (at least the them) was they came home with the giant blow up banana. I know you are thinking why is that so important, but out of all the awards that they could win, this is the one that they most wanted. This is an award higher then a spirit stick when it comes to how much spirit your squad has each day. They started out camp winning the banana on Friday, which meant that I got to carry it around all day on Sat (people try to steal it from you). So, all fun for them, not much for me. And then they got to bring it home, they will forever cherish this thing I know. Overall, it was a great time, and I think that we all learned a little more about each other while we were there. I have a great group of kids this year, and we are looking forward to a great year!!!

Big Boy Pants!

I know it has been a while since I have updated the blog, but it has been a little crazy around here. So, I am now finally getting around to updating some new pictures on the blog. I have mentioned this before, but Carter loves to help me with the laundry. Well, one day, he decided to not only pull the clothes out of the dryer for me, but to try them on as well. So, here you will see a picture of Carter trying to put on Chris's pants.
