2 Year Check-up

Yesterday Carter had his 2 year checkup at the doctor. The doctor said he looked great, and looked to be right on track. He weighed 26 lbs and 6 ozs (25%) and was 34 3/4" (50%).

Here are some more pics of Carter and his new tractor...he sure does love it. And he thinks that he has to keep putting it together like Chris did when he first got it. What a little copycat.

Carter is 2 today!!!!!

Well, our little boy turned 2 today!!!! I can't believe that he is already that old, time has flown by. I know people say that all the time, but he has truly changed so much in just the last few months.

We had his birthday party this past weekend. It was at our house, and we had some of the inflatables here for all the kids to bounce in. It was so fun to see the kids having a good time, and Carter seemed to really like jumping and climbing in them. I think he had the most fun when he and Paige got in the big one before all the big kids got there, and then after when him and Chris got in it and jumped around.

Nana Flynt made cupcakes for the party....she is the greatest. As you can see from the picture, she definitely out did herself. All of these, and she had Paige and Carter stay the night with her on Friday night....she is amazing!

Carter got this tractor from Nana Flynt, the Addingtons, and the Lightners. It was so fun to see his face when they brought it out. He loves it, and is getting better and better each day in driving it.

Carter was so tired, and I guess he thought this was going to be his blanket.

Specialist Update

Well, Monday Chris and I went to Joplin to meet with a perinatal specialist there regarding Baby B's kidney problem. We had another ultrasound, and both girls looked the same. They were moving around like crazy. The doctor spent most of the time examining Baby B to determine if there were any other defects, which would have possibly meant a chromosome issue. But thanks to God, the kidney problem is the only thing that she has. This is not a life threatening issue, and they will not immediately have to take her to surgery when she comes out. It is just something that they will keep an eye on, and continue to make sure that her fluids stay where they need to be. We will know more several weeks after she arrives probably. So, we did not come away from Joplin knowing anymore than when we went there. I am supposed to go back in 6 weeks to see him again, however, Chris said that we are not going back. I guess it depends on how the ultrasound goes that I have with my doctor in 3 weeks. Please continue to pray for all of us as we go through the remaining part of this pregnancy. I only have 15 weeks until I am term, and I am hoping and praying that I will not have to go on bedrest or go into pre-term labor.

The Verdict is in...

Today we had our ultrasound and found out what our precious little bundles of joy will be. We are happy to report that the poll voters were right...we are having 2 GIRLS!!! Can you believe it, 2 little girls to dress up, and teach cheers to, etc. Chris has no idea what he is getting into. Actually, I already know that they are going to have him wrapped around their little fingers.

Everything looked really good. Baby Girl B did have one kidney that was a little dilated, so I have to go to a specialist on Monday in Joplin to have it looked at. It didn't seem to be a big issue with my doctor, but they will be monitoring it every month to make sure that it does not get any bigger. The fluid looked good, so they were just wanting to see if it was blocked by something. So, please pray that everything will go well at the doctor.

I will make sure you are all updated on any new information. When we get names, other doctors appts, etc.

Towles visit

Our friends Matt and Sunday and their kids Jonah and Emma came up this past week to visit us. We met Matt and Sunday when we lived in KY, and even though we have both moved away from there, we still make it a point to see them at least once a year. We had such a good time. We took them to the Gentry Safari, and for those of you that haven't been in a while, I was really impressed. We hung out a lot, the guys played some softball with our church, the kids chased each other and ran around the house, and the girls got a night out alone. We have such a good time with them, and were so glad that they were able to come visit. Here are a few pics from their trip.

I think Jonah likes taking pictures.

Could you imagine seeing this right next to your window?

How about this blocking the road?

Built-Ins

A few months ago Chris decided to build us some built-in shelves in our Living Room. We had these 2 open areas that would be a perfect spot for them. So, he started them, and then things kept coming up where he was not able to finish them. But a few weeks ago he was able to get them painted and finally our house became less of a construction ground. He did such an amazing job, I am so proud of him. I could not be happier. And it gives us so much more space in our living room. My friend, Sarah, made me some basket liners for my baskets...thanks Sarah. I still have a few things that I want to add, but you all can see what he did. I tried to find the before shot, but of course I can't.

Catch Up....

Sorry I haven't updated the blog in a while, but I will try to catch you up on everything tonight.

Carter holding Brady...he loves this little guy

Carter and Paige were dumping water on the heads of their dads when we went over to swim at Nana's one afternoon. Don't mind the no clothes...I am not sure what happened to his suit.

After Carter was done swimming he went to dry out on the rock. He is too funny!!
