Tattoo...Real or Not?

Last night as I was on my way to Gravette's first football game, Chris sent me these pictures.  These 2 boys of mine are so funny!  Sure do love them!

Carter flexing with his not 1 but 2 tattoos...

Then of course if you are getting a tattoo of someone, why not The HULK!

Let's Go Racing!!!!

So, this past weekend was the BIG race weekend.  Renae and I always laugh about the looks that we get from people when we tell them we are going to a NASCAR race.  I mean come on just because we are girls doesn't mean we can't like racing!  None the less, we had a girls weekend that was more like a guys weekend but it was perfect for us.  We met up at the airport in Atlanta on Saturday morning, and then spent the day catching up on everything, watching football, and eating occassionally.  I had the best time, and love having these meetings with her.

I do have to say other than the fact that there was no BIG wreck during the race (a first for us), it was a good race.  It was the first one that I didn't sweat like a pig at, and even better we never had to stop and wait on traffic when we were leaving.  And you may think that is not a big deal, but sitting in one spot for 45 mins is not fun, and we have done that A LOT!

This is my friend Renae that broke her elbow a few weeks back, and this is the only picture I have of her with her pretty pink tape on.  She is doing so good, considering she has 7 screws and a plate in her elbow, and she just had surgery 3 weeks ago.  I love that even a broken elbow didn't keep her from our race weekend.

We had perfect seats...right in front of pit road exit, and our driver was really close to where we could see hit pit!
We have our gear on and ready for race to start!  We also put these on thinking the lady next to Renae would STOP talking to her.  Ha, sorry about that Renae!
Through most of the race we really thought our man Carl was going to win...you remember this guy....You know from the BEST race that we have been to.  I mean it's not every day you get to stand in the pit box of your favorite driver (Martinsville 2011)!!!  Can you tell how excited I was?
But instead of our favorite driver, this guy won!  I like me some Kyle Busch too, and even better that I actually met him this year at Shareholders back in June!  How awesome is that?!?!?!
What a great time with Renae this past weekend!  Can't wait to see which race we are going to next year, maybe Chris will decide to come to that one and hang out with us crazy girls!!!
Thanks Renae for a great weekend!

Awanas Kick Off...

Tonight was the kickoff for Awanas at our church, and Carter was so excited!  He feels like he is big time now...a 1st grader!  Ha...  It was also a big night for me...I am now one of the directors for Awanas...The Sparks (K-2).  I helped out our friend Tim a lot the past few years, and then he moved this past summer, so I am thinking he was planning this all along.  I really do love it, I mean if you know me at all you know I like being in charge!  No really, I love that I can serve in this way, and I love being in the same program as Carter is on Wednesday nights.  It makes it even more special when I get to share these things I do with my kids.

On the way home tonight in the car, I heard Carter read to himself several of the verses already, and I know he will do great this year.  First of all, to hear him read them himself is amazing, but to see how excited he is to do Awanas is even better.  I pray that he continues to love to read and to learn God's word.  And if Awanas is one of the places he can do that, then I will help as along as I can.

He is in the Flaming Cardinals class, and his teachers Mrs. Tiffany and Stephanie are going to be awesome!

So excited to spend my Wedneday nights with this guy!

Cotton Eye Joe...

This past weekend was the big Square Dancing Event at the Clothesline Fair in Prairie Grove.  Although it wasn't as hot as last year, it was still HOT!  But the kids all had a good time!  There was popcorn eaten, tractors ridden, and some dancing done.  This is Carter and Paige's 2nd year to dance here, and after talking to one of the moms from our team I felt like we were definitely the newbies.  Her oldest had been doing it for 7 years and her daughter on our team for 5.  WOW!!!  Not sure how long Paige and Carter will do it, but I know they look cute while they do it now.

There dance went really well, and even Paige lost her shoe during, but picked it up and went right back to where she needed to be.  I was so proud of them!

Some Southern Charm (team name) love right here...
These 3 were waiting to go on stage next, but were jamming to the music before they actually went...it was so funny!
These little red faced kids had a pretty good time too.  They were big supporters of Paige and Carter!
All I can ever say...ROTTEN!  But I sure do love her.

We of course had to all take turns riding on Papa Flynt's tractor.

GO HOGS GO!!!!!

Well, Saturday was one of my most favorite days of the entire year...I would almost say more than Thanksgiving or Christmas!  College Football Kickoff Saturday!  Yet that is right...I LOVE me some football.  I love going to games, cooking out with friends, watching it on tv...you name it I love it.  I LOVE my HOGS of course, but I just like watching all the teams.  There is nothing better on a Saturday, then watching College Game Day as I am cleaning/playing with kids or even laying around on couch.  Saturday means the start of FALL for me, and I love me some FALL!

I wanted to highlight the girls shirts for the kickoff to HOGS football.  Their Aunt Ashley made these shirts for them...aren't they adorable?  I love them!  Thanks Ashley, I am sure these will not be the only ones you ever make for us.

The girls are waiting for the Clothesline Fair Parade to start (Carter was in it for square dancing...more to come on later)...

Now back to the Razorbacks...This guy in the white LONG sleeve shirt (it was 99 degrees outside) was the talk of the offseason.  I am so excited to see what Bret Bielema can do for our program, I mean anything more than last year is definitely an improvement.  I could say it a thousand times, I LOVE the Razorbacks, and am ready for them to have a much better season than they have had the last couple of years.  Here are to many more football Saturdays!!!!
By the way, if you wonder how I spent this College Football Kickoff Saturday, well I happened to be in Atlanta with my friend Renae for the race on Sunday.  We literally sat in our hotel room watching football all day, went to eat dinner and watch the Razorbacks, and then came back to our hotel and finished off the night watching more football...pretty perfect kickoff day if you ask me.

Can't finish this post without:

Guess where I am?!?!?!

You are lucky today to be getting 2 posts...that's right...2!  I know you were all concerned about why you hadn't seen my Nascar race pictures yet (ha, I am sure you all were waiting by the computer for it).  Well, this weekend is the one!  As you are reading this, Renae and I are hanging out either waiting for the race to start or at the race!  And even better, I just read that my driver is started 2nd!  Go CARL EDWARDS!  I want to hear all of you chanting that...ready GO!!!

I will have pics to post later, but just wanted to give a slight glimpse as to what I would be doing on Labor Day Weekend...yes that is right stalking drivers! :)

Molly does gymnastics...

Well, this past Thursday was the day that Molly finally got to start doing gymnastics.  Even though she hadn't turned 3 yet, they had 3 openings at an earlier class, so they let her go ahead and start if we were willing to change our times.  So, we did and saying she LOVED it is an understatement...and she did SO good.  She really listened to everything they said, and made sure she was doing it exactly as she was told.  And I thought for a 2 year old did so good!  I love that she is able to do this with them!  And the best part Chris finally got to see them do their stuff, they were so excited that he got to come see them for a little bit!

I hope that the girls continue to love being active...whether it be gymnastics, dance, soccer, etc.  I just love seeing them learn new things!
