Brady Dane Addington has Arrived!!!!

Our family got a little bigger again today. Amber had Brady this morning at 10:57 AM. He weighed 8lbs 14oz, and is 21 3/4 inches long (big guy). Mom and baby are doing well. It was so great to finally see him. Paige stayed the night with us last night, and it was a good night for all of us. I don't think we traumatized her too bad, she has really taken to be and of course she already loves her uncle Chris.
When we got to the hospital, Paige did not really want to have anything to do with Brady or her parents. But I think it was the room that really scared her. On the other hand, Carter loved Brady, and wanted to hold him. As you can see in the pictures, he is going to be such a good big brother.

Holton Lightner has arrived!!

Russ and Ashley (Chris's sister) had their first baby boy, Holton (Holt) Lightner Wednesday. Everything went well, and baby and mom are doing great. They still have yet to tell us a middle name, but hopefully we will have one soon. I hope to put some pictures up soon of the new bundle of joy. Chris, Shawn and the Lightners are having a great time in the hospital. Ashley gets to come home tomorrow (Friday), so the real fun begins then.

Kids in Diapers

Tonight while Dane was at his weekly softball game and Chris is in Texas, Paige and Amber came over to play for a while. After we gave the kids baths, we decided to let them run around in their diapers. They were all over the place, but they were having a good time. As you can see Carter has his favorite thing in hand, thanks to Aunt Amber for letting him play with her phone.

You are seeing DOUBLE....TWINS!!

Well, if you thought twins, then you were correct. Chris and I are having twins come December. My due date is actually Jan 6th, but since there are 2, they will take them in December by my 37th week if I have not gone on my own.

Chris and I went to the doctor Monday morning for my first ultrasound appointment, hoping to find 1 healthy heartbeat. Never did we think we would have 2. But how blessed we truly are to have such an opportunity to bring these 2 new children into the world.

So, this is how we found out...

My doctor came in and asked how things were going, and I told her fine I was just getting a little bit more sick at night than I did with Carter. Then she jokenly said, maybe there are twins. I just laughed and thought there is no way that would be the case. Then she started the ultrasound, and immediately started laughing (at this point Chris could see the screen). She turned the monitor towards me, and said there are 2. It was so amazing, I could not stop laughing. One of them was a very wiggly little one, while the other was just content laying there. We got to see both little hearts beating (fluttering).

So, as you can all imagine, we have a lot to get done in the next few months....I mean getting an additional piece of everything that we already had. And as of right now we will not be finding out what they are, but that may change as it gets closer. I will be sure to keep you updated!!!

Surprise!

I wanted to post a little picture for you all to see. I hope you enjoy, there will be more to come later.

Trial Run...

So, when Amber (Chris's sister) goes into labor I get the priviledge to get Paige (her little girl). Amber is due next Friday (20th), and Chris's other sister Ashley is due next Thurs (19th). So, Chris will be heading down to Dallas to be with Ashley as this is her first one, and I will be here with Amber and Dane and of course Paige. So, Amber had a work thing last week, so we decided to do a trial run as to what to expect when I have Paige for a whole day. Overall, it was very smooth, her and Carter napped at the same time, and played well together. As you can see from the attached pictures, they are in a Mickey Mouse daze...at least I know what will keep them happy. We had a great time, and I am sure we will survive when the real thing occurs.

Still Under Construction!

As you can see Chris is almost finish with the built-in shelves that he is doing in our living room. Right now he only lacks painting them, and finishing the doors and we should be done. YAH!!! As you can tell from the picture it is not only Chris building the shelves, Carter is such a big help. He climbed up the ladder and then made his way over to the shelf. He is such a big help.
