Lunch Date

Carter and I ate lunch today with our friend Renee and her new sweet baby girl, Sallie. It was the first time that we have gotten to see her since she was born, and she is getting cuter by the day. We can't wait to see them again, hopefully soon. As usual, Carter loved Sallie, and wanted to hold her and kiss all over her. He is going to be such a great big brother to our sweet girls.

Finally a Picture

Well, yesterday Carter was still sleeping when I went into his room, so I finally got a picture of him in his new Big Boy Bed. He looks so cute when he is sleeping in it, and he is doing so well with it. I think he was really ready to become a big boy.

Pregnancy Update

This past Monday I went to my monthly doctors appt. She said everything sounded good, and I was measuring 27 weeks (I was only 24), which she says is normal. I should measure 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule each time she measures me. Then on Tuesday I had my ultrasound. The girls looked good, still growing right on schedule. Kennedy (Baby A) weighs 1lb 6ozs and Bailey (Baby B) weighs 1lb 9ozs. She did some 4D pictures of their faces, and although it is kind of weird to look at, it is so amazing to see their little faces. Carter actually went to the appt with me, so he got to see them on the screen, not that he knows what was going on.

Bailey is the one with the kidney issue, and it continues to grow. It has grown to 16 MM, where last month is was 7MM. However, she is getting bigger, so you can expect it to grow a little. All of the fluid looked good in her sack, so they are still not concerned since it appears that she has one good functioning kidney. We are going back to Joplin on the 29th of this month to see the doctor there again. Not real sure what he can do differently, but I guess he wants to get an update from my last appt. I will keep you all updated, but please continue to pray for little Bailey, although it is not life threatening it is still hard to know that her kidney is not how it is supposed to be.

Big Boy Bed

Carter slept in his big boy bed last night, and it was successful. He was so exhausted from our crazy few days I am sure, but he did not try to get out once. We will see if it continues or not...hopefully it will. I will try to get some pictures to share soon of him in the bed, he looks so big.

Final Farewell

Yesterday, we buried Chris's sweet Grandma Thelda. It was very sad, but exciting to know that she is in a much better place than this, and back with her loving husband after 30+ yrs apart. Here are some of the pics that I found of her and Carter, and then some at the end of her 85th birthday party this past Feb.

First Day of School!

Carter started back to PDO this week, and I made sure that Chris took a picture of him before he took him. He said it took a little bit to get him to pose for the picture, but I think this one turned out the best. He did so good, and was not detoured at all when he was behind a kid crying as he was getting dropped off. He is now in the 2 year old class, man he is getting so old.

Texas Trip

This past weekend we decided to make a trip to Texas to see Ashley and Russ since this was my only Friday night without a football game, and probably the last time that I could ride comfortably for 6 hrs in a car. We had a great time with them, and glad that we were able to make the trip.

Carter, Holt and Trixie chillin on the couch. Carter just loved hanging out with Holt, and kissing him whenever he could. It was so cute, he is going to be a great big brother.

We went to this game place, and let Carter play the games, ride go carts, and challenge Russ to a game of air hockey. He loved every minute of it.

I think he had just scored on Russ...

Russ and Ashley live 10 mins from the Texas Motor Speedway. So, on Sat we decided to go down to the track to see the drivers in driving school. It was great, we got to drive in the infield (inside the track), and watch drivers go over 160 MPH. It was a lot of fun, and Carter seemed to really like watching the cars. I guess it runs in his blood.
