Our 4th of July weekend was a jammed packed weekend, but it was a good time. I had some family come in from Mena, so we spent a few nights with my aunt and her family just hanging out. They all love to squeeze on our kids, so we actually get a little break from feeding, holding, etc when we are around them.
Then on Saturday we spent most of the day in Huntsville for my family's annual Road Rally (scavenger hunt). This is always such a good time, and we always look forward to it every year. We started out at a state park where we had some lunch, and then we got the games started. My cousins took all the bigger kids to their house, but the girls got to experience their first Road Rally with me and my cousin Lou. It was such a great time, however, Lou, the girls and I did not win...maybe next year.
After the road rally we headed back to Nana Flynt's house to hang out with Chris's family. There was of course some swimming, and new game that Russ and Chris made up (Noodle Ball), and as always some food. After we ate some of them headed to our church where they put on a singing and fireworks show. It is normally a very good show, and I don't think this year was any different. Carter loved the fireworks, and keeps thinking we are going to see them again.
Here are our little firecrackers...
The girls...aren't they adorable?
