Weekly Playdates

Last week, some people in our Sunday School class decided that it would be fun to get together once a week or so to let our kids play (not sure why it has taken us this long). Anyway, so this week we decided to go to the park. Although only a few people were able to make it, we had a good time. This was the first time that we had the girls in a swing, and they loved it. I can't believe I got such a good picture of them, you can tell Bailey is loving it.

We met our friends Renee and Sallie at the prominade last week to play and hang out for a little bit. It was a little hot, but it was still fun to get to see them.

This is what the girls did while Carter played in the bubbles...

We were going to go swimming this morning with some friends, but because of the rain yesterday and our cooler days this week we thought it might be a little chilly. So, we decided to go to Jump Zone in Bentonville. It was a lot of fun, and after Carter warmed up to everything and everyone he had a good time. We are so thankful for all our friends/family who join us for these outings. It is a zoo at times, but we end up having a good time.

Cheer Camp 2009

Well, I left last Saturday to go to the University of Arkansas to attend cheerleading camp. For those of you who don't know, or who just don't remember...I coach the Gravette High School Cheerleaders. So, I took 13 girls and 1 boy to a UCA camp at the UofA. They did amazing, I am so proud of each of them for the way they acted and how well they did. We came home camp champs in Home Pom (we took this dance with us), camp champs in Cheer and 2nd in Extreme Routine. And last but certainly not least, they came home with the Banana for the 2nd year in a row. If you ask them which award they wanted the most, it would definitely be the banana. It is given to the squad who has the most spirit throughout the week, and goes out of their way to help other squads, and just in general sets a good example. I also had 5 of my 7 seniors make All-American, so they have the opportunity to go to London over Christmas and New Years. Again, I am so proud of this group of students, I could not have asked for a better group of kids.

Don't worry about the kids, while I was away Chris took very good care of them. He even made it to church with them, and didn't just have the girls in onesies. I am so lucky to have such a great husband that lets me go off to cheer camp for 4 days, and doesn't think anything about being left alone for all 3 kids during that time. We also had the help of some friends and family to watch them while Chris worked on Monday and Tuesday, thank goodness for those who are willing and able to help.

My squad and all their awards/trophies

Me and my Seniors...this was bittersweet for me, I actually started coaching these girls/boy when they were sophomores, so I am going to cry when they leave me. They are a great group of kids.

Another one came and went...

It feels just like yesterday that the girls were turning 6 mths old, we were taking their pictures, going to the doctor, etc. And then here it is 1 mth later, and man have they changed even in the last month. Kennedy is all over the place with her crawling, or should I saw "bear crawling." It is so funny, more of a walk/crawl, and man is she fast. Bailey is still on all 4's, and rocks back and forth, and she seems to get upset when Kennedy moves away from her and she can't get to her as quickly. Maybe that will motivate her to start crawling too. However, I am liking that I only have to chase one crawler around...so I can't definitely wait.

They are both still extremely happy, and love their big brother. We are truly blessed.

Carter and Bailey, Kennedy would not sit still long enough to be in the picture (I guess she truly is my daughter)

This is Kennedy's crawl/walk, so funny...I need to video her, but always forget

Happy Girl

This is one of my favorites pictures...she is such a big cheeser. Don't you just want to kiss those cheeks?

Again such a big smile

Bowling

Saturday we went with the Hands to Fastlanes in Rogers for a little fun and games. The boys had such a great time, and got to experience bowling for the first time. They did so good, and even tied at 47, totally did not plan that at all but nice that they did the exact same (not that it matters to them now). It was a great day of fun, and Carter had a blast with his friend Jaxon. The only thing that Carter DID NOT LIKE AT ALL was the Fastlane and Naturals Mascots. It was Fastlanes 1 yr anniversary, so they had a lot of different things going on that day, and one of they was bringing out some mascots. Carter cried and would not get off the chair anytime they came around. It was so sad, but he dislikes them very much. Maybe one day he will grow out of that.

Carter and Jaxon...check out the shoes, so funny :)

Is this right?

Such a good teacher

It's all about the follow through

Family and 6 mth pictures

We finally got a long overdue family picture of all of us. It was hard to get everyone looking at the camera let along smiling at the sametime, but I think the ones we got were so good. Our good friend Sarah did them at a local park, and I could not have been more happy, especially because it was pretty hot outside, and we did them early in the morning.

One big happy family...

Kennedy has some drool coming out of her mouth, I think that is when she learned she could blow bubbles with her spit

Carter even got to take some by himself, he did so good with just him and Sarah

Bailey was so hot and tired, but this one is still cute

Kennedy had just started getting on all 4s and I think she probably stood on her head shortly after this picture was taken.
We have several more pictures that I loved, but I thought I would just post a few.

Separated, Talking and Blocks

Well, the time has come to finally separate the girls into their own beds. It was a sad day, but definitely needed. They were both becoming more active during nap time, and rolling all over each other every other time. So, we were able to borrow a bed from some of our friends, and made the move. They seem to like the separate beds so far, and all the extra space that they have.

I can't believe that they will be 7 mths next week, man time continues to fly. They are jabbering all the time, and of course the first thing that they both started jabbering was dada...go figure. Kennedy loves to talk, and of course is very loud (she is definitely me). She is also crawling now, well more of a bear crawl, but she is SO fast. If she sees something she wants, a bottle or a cell phone, she is off. She can also go from all fours to the sitting position. Bailey is doing well too, she is talking all the time, sitting up very well, and gets on all 4s and rocks back and forth. She will be off and crawling before we know it, and then watch out it will be even crazier in our house. They are both very happy and content little girls.

Carter was so proud of himself the other day. He would separate all the blocks by color and then we would build towers out of each color. It is so amazing how smart and funny he is. He says the funniest things sometimes, and I wonder where he gets it, but then I remember he is a sponge and soaks up everything that people are saying around him.

Bedtimes and A Great Big Brother

So, we put the girls to bed the other night, and then was finishing up with Carter when we heard some noise in the girls room. So, as I open the door, I see Kennedy sitting in the bed like she is below and grinning from ear to ear with her mouth open. Bailey was rolling around all over the place (her hands still like to get in her face at night, so therefore, still swaddled to an extent). They just can't get enough of each other. And I'm thinking that sooner rather than later we are going to have to separate them. They are getting too vocal with each other, and sometimes just want to play.

Carter and girls....it looks like they are all holding hands, but the thing I love the most is that they are looking up at him. They are going to be doing that a lot. And as much as he is rough on them, he sure does love his little sisters. I love to see him be sweet to them, it makes me very proud of him. It also lets me know that they will have someone to watch over them with the boys...if you know what I mean. And we are gonna need all the help we can get.

We have 2 very happy girls that love to sit up, jabber, and play with each other
